WOYWW 469 -the post that nearly didn't happen

Happy WOYWW - the week after the 9th anniversary - and I nearly missed it
We had horrendous rain and thunderstorms yesterday and when I got home from work I found - no tv, no phone (landline) and worst of all, no internet!

Luckily however it has been restored in time to join in - but as it's late and I should be in bed (I got up for a w....  (it's an age thing) and had to check the status... ) er sorry, as it's late, and I don't have anything else ready I am just going to share the gorgeous atcs I've received = thank goodness I photographed them before work yesterday and I could still download them!

l-r   Cindy (together with card),  Shaz (when i picked the atcs up to photograph, a second one fell off the back, two must have got stuck together!)

bottom - another cute card  - from Kim,  and from Julia our intrepid leader
beautiful stitched atcs from Annie and Jo together with a lovely poem, Margaret again with a card,  and Jan, lovely LLJ.

I love Jan that after all this time of knowing you, you still sign your atcs Jan (LLJ) in case we don't know!!

Ladies, thank you all - you are all very talented.
These will go with my previous years and create more happy memories.

In case you didn't see them, last Saturday, bank holiday weekend, saw me at Kew (no, really?!!) and some spectacular performances were seen, not only by the plants - click here if you're interested)

So glad you managed to get back online Helen and share those fabulous ATC's. Such a talented group of people, all so different but each as super as the next.
We too suffered from the storms, started Saturday night with Thunder & Lightning but what followed Sunday was horrendous down pours. Luckily not much damage was caused unlike others close by.
Fingers crossed it will not make a return call.
Creative wishes Tracey (#?)

When I signed up, I was #1! Then I reloaded the page and was relegated to #3! How did that happen... Thought it would be fun to be #1 on my birthday but oh well. Anyway, to business! What lovely ATCs, Helen. Like you, I am always amused that LLJ signs herself as Jan (LLJ) in case we don’t know who she is! I was so sorry not to take part in the swap myself but a couple of people have been kind enough to send me a lovely ATC anyway, and I really appreciate this.

Happy WOWW,
Shoshi #3 (relegated to the 3rd division)

Can well imagine the panic that set in when you had no internet - and WOYWW Day looming so close. Thank goodness you were able to take your place as no 1 this morning.
Lovely atc's, now off to Kew.
Hugs, Neet 4 (despite Facetiming with America at the me time) xx

I got my post ready, then promptly fell asleep. It was a busy day, apparently! So glad you got your internet back. I've had that happen to me before and it is super maddening, frustrating, and annoying.

You got some fabulous ATCs. As you probably saw, I only made enough for my PIF and Julia, so I will have one coming from Neet soon, I'm sure.

Of course, I saw your Kew post last Saturday, and you outdid yourself with the beautiful photos. I just hope others get to see the beauty you share at Kew. Happy WOYWW from number 10 this week.

What a lot of love you’ve had through your letterbox. It’s such a lovely thing to do isn’t it?
We had the storms over the weekend and it put our electric off a couple of times too....aren’t all the flashing clocks a nuisance when they come back on?
Hugs,

Lovely spread of atcs there! I sign both names because it seems rude not to, lol! We've been so lucky with the weather here in our little part of Wales, the weather's been amazing and we seem to have escaped the storms. Hope your interwebs are ok now!
Hugs LLJ 11 xx

Such lovely ATCs Helen. Just read message about the ones you sent to me and Annie - haven't received them - did you send them to SHREWSBURY address or maybe my old address in Churchstoke?

Hi Helen, so many fabulous pieces of art as always, isn't there? Love your Dragonfly ATC, and that explains why I thought I'd miscounted, lol! Isn't it interesting how loss of Internet throws us such a curve? Shows how reliant on it we are now. Glad yours was up & running so fast, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX

Happy WOYWW. Great selection of ATCs. Glad you have got your internet back. Our wifi is super-slow at the moment or even cutting out completely. The company found a fault at a neighbour's house (we have community wifi, which is bounced from a central transmitter, as we cannot get internet through the phone lines due to being a remote location), but still not 100%. They have decided it is because we need some trees trimming - they are blocking the signal partially. Tree surgeon coming soon hopefully! Ali x #22

Gosh how we panic when there is no phone or internet. When I was growing up we had no TV, landline and internet was unheard of. Hehe when I was young......
Lovely lot of ATC's you received sorry but I didn't take part this year. Have a good week. Ani

Not surprised that your powers were out to be honest, these thunderstorms have been incredible. Except that we havent had one yet....some thunder and a short sharp rainfall and that was it! Glad the internet restored ‘itself’ so we could share your ATC spoils...honestly every year I think I’ll manage something really unique and every year, I don’t! Still, I did manage to find an appropriate stamp at least! YOur Kew visit was another amazing one.

Happy Belated WOYWW! Just getting around to visiting this week, and I love your collection of ATC's (and am so glad mine made it!) We've only had internet for 2 years, and when we lost power for just a few hours I was completely lost. Technology now rules our lives!! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Fabulous ATC swapping - thank goodness you managed to get back online. It's only when it disappears that we discover how dependent we are on this Internet business!
