WOYWW 442

slowly slowly....

unlike the weeks which are rocketing by, it's time for another WOYWW already!  Not sure who's stealing time but can I have some back please... Head to Julia's for the link and the whys and wherefores

anyhow, as I was saying, slowly slowly, the pile of cards is growing..
but I am still not really in the mindset so where my evenings should be hard at them, instead they are .... not.

on some of the cards I've used some die cut words (a Tim Holtz die)

so on Sunday I spent a while forcing the dies through the Big Shot - forcing because I was trying to do lots of them at a time, filling cut cutting platform, but that was a false economy because they wouldn't all cut fully.

eventually I got a few each of the words I'll use more of, and one of the others just so I have them...

I found a little box to store them in

But, as it is "desk" sharing day, I'd better share today's view... well, obviously it's Tuesday night's view..

took a 'vertical' view ... last year's favourite Grumpy Penguins are making a re-appearance as I love them.
balanced on the pile of texture paste pots is a card tht was left to dry (it's well dry now!)

to the left of the tv (Strictly, It Takes Two)  is the pile of cards

to the left of the craft mat and the penguins, are the boxes of everyday supplies that have now got rather over full and cause a tumbling mess when I look for anything (foam pads, glue, being the main culprits)

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be round soon!

Happy WOYWW. From that angle it looks like your stash piles are just about to topple over (perhaps they are?!). I am loving Strictly this year - but not got round to watching It Takes Two (it used to be my 'must-watch'). I am going to just jump in today and at least make a start on the sketchbook - otherwise it will just sit there looking at me. Ali x #3

Well done on all those Christmas cards, I really need to get going with mine! I love the look of your desk, my DH is always commenting on my teeter-totter piles of things 😂
I'm a Strictly fan too but keep missing Take 2
Have a lovely crafty week

Oh liking TH festive words, I've got his months of the year. I tend to only put the dies along the sides of my cutting plate so 4 or 6 in a go. The middle area tends not to cut as well on my Cuttlebug, probably the same for your Big Shot. And as for you "desk" area, how am I supposed to concentrate with Davood there? BJ#9

My, my, you have been busy! I have managed some but am going to write out what I have and, hopefully, I can then put away all the Christmassy things and get back to proper crafting!!!
Have a good week

Hate to think how many times I have done that - the false economy. Just doesn't work for some dies and you spend time faffing about. You need a machine with a push button.
Love the fact that you are so organised and the pile of cards is growing and growing. Still have not started - woe is me.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me earlier

Hi there Helen, you might think you're not so good on cards, but I'm totally impressed with your pile...
I'm almost half way, but it means 30 more to make!!
Can relate to toppling piles...

Hi Helen, looks like the pile of cards is progressing well enough. Love those penguins too, Doug bought them for me back last year, they need an outing I think.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 XxX

Wow, such a busy and exiting desk! I wonder how you can watch tv and create at the same time - or do you 'listen' only and take a look every now and then? I do create with music/radio playing but I would get distracted by tv... but however you do it, your work is wonderful! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #18

Oh Helen, I don't where the time is going either. If someone can come with a way of ensuring an eighth day to the week I'd be most grateful ... a weekend day of course! Your pile of cards looks more than mine ... I'm so way behind this year. Too many other distractions, including Strictly :) Have a great week. Elizabeth x #16

I too have issues with multiple small T H dies. Then I bought his sparkle sticky back paper as gluing the tiny words is time consuming, well I had a mess. The letters didn't cut through parts of the paper so wasted that sheet. Sometimes wonder about his intricate ideas. You have a great start on cards. Have a great week.

Hi Helen, I had that same thing going on here last night ( forcing tiny dies) I finally had to cave and break out the wax paper and the metal shim to get the booger ones to cut. Love those grumpy penguins too. ~Stacy #27

Time really does seem to disappear down some black hole at the moment :-(
Love the words you have die cut. I try to do several and end up with same problem. Ones in middle don't cut well. Anne x #22

Thanks so much for your kind words. I was so pleased to be remembered. Hope to get back in the action next year as we are nearly done with our promised duties due to our friend's death. It has taken so much out of DH and I but we are nearly done now.

What a hive of industry, Helen. The die cut words look great. I expect they are quite fragile to handle, and will probably tangle with each other in the box! They will be great added to cards. Thank you for your lovely comment - glad you like my Infusions backgrounds. I'm hoping to cut some more flowers this week as embellishments for them. After this afternoon's visit to the vet's the kittens are still in their little suits for another week, and Lily is now on some medication for her runny tummy until she finishes her antibiotics so hopefully she will be feeling a bit more lively soon! We're taking them back next week.

Happy WOYWW,
