Happy WOYWW 366

We are welcoming our beloved Julia home from hospital and even though she has a long road ahead of her, home is where she should be.  Take it easy, Julia; we are all cheering you on.  Also, Jan, thank you for the updates and news, it is much appreciated as we all pray for a full recovery.

So, it's all over to Jan's for the linky (wonder if it will play nicely today?) and some desk sharing...
I am just back at work after a few days off, just chilling (and a couple of days at Kew, one chilly and overcast and one gloriously warm and sunny, both of which resulted in hundreds of photos (click the fountain in the side bar if you want to look)

But I did also have time for some crafting and this play in my journal - neither quite finished yet!
I was touched beyond measure to receive an ATC and a handwritten card from Julia last week, posted just before she went into hospital.

Thank you, Julia, it will be much treasured and I will, play hard!

I did do a little shopping last week when I went to Kingston to find some new clothes (failed there) but got some goodies from the art shop (gloss and matte medium) some charms from a fabric shop for some mixed media projects (they were a bargain and some little bits from Tiger..
the cup cake stands aren't going to be for cakes, I thought I could use them to put (lightweight) projects on to photograph... but they may be a bit small...

that's it from me today.

Tried to link you but it was not having it - Sorry! Will try again if you are still not linked.
How fortunate that you managed to find an art shop nearby when the clothing trip was unsuccessful LOL. Bargains too!

I linked you up as soon as I woke up! I don't understand why you should be having these issues, I think you were ok the first week. If I was doing things differently, I'd understand but I'm following Julia's instructions the same each week and why can others link up ok? InkyDinkyDoodle did mention something about clearing Internet Caches (I think!), maybe she'll write something about that today. Hey ho, if I have to continue linking you up, then that's what we'll do - the world is still turning, huh?!
Nice to see some bargainy stash there :-)

Hi Helen, great bargains, and the journal page looks wonderful. I love the colours. My son, Ant, used to work for the BBC at Pebblemill, and then The Mailbox, but when the Mailbox closed down, he went freelance. He still finds himself doing huge amounts of programmes for the BBC, which is amusing! Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #9 xxx

The journal pages are looking great even though they aren't finished. What a great lot of goodies you found - rather them than clothes lol. Those charms look great and such a bargain!

I am such a charm junkie and the fact that there is a Chinese importer 10 minutes from my home is so not helping!
Love those journal pages!

Oh I'm hopeless at clothes shopping too. My problem is I leave it too late (as I hate it), so when I do go it is very urgent.
You had a good haul there! I love the charms bags. They are really well priced!
Yes, I was touched too by the hand written card from Julia. I will treasure it.
Let us know about the cup cake stands and how that works out...

That's a brilliant idea for the cupcake stands. It's often really tricky to create interesting photos of smaller handmade items. It's frustrating to go shopping for clothes and find nothing - I always end up seeing lovely clothes when I'm broke or feeling a bit porky but nothing when I've got money and body mass on my side!! At least your shopping trip wasnt wasted - looks like some lovely crafty bits - especially those charms. Happy crafting, Max #31

I love your journal page, Helen - it's beautiful. I love clothes shopping! I had another attempt on the bus yesterday, this time with the wheelchair instead of the buggy and it worked like a dream - absolutely no problem! My hubby was very impressed with me that I'd managed all by myself lol! I went to Marks & Spencer's and did a bit of clothes shopping which was very successful!

Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm looking forward to doing some baking soon but I doubt the standard will be up to Creme de la Creme lol! I am also looking forward to trying my new Infusions but as usual, studio time ends up at the bottom of the heap where my busy life is concerned these days!!

Happy belated WOYWW,

In love with those flowery pages, especially the one on the left with those wonderful thistly affairs. Good looking craft shopping (so much better than spending money on clothes), and it sounds as though you had a lovely time at Kew.
