Find the link for this week's desks at Jan's blog here
Annie's beautifully stitched scene came with a lovely poem too.. Jo's flowers are simply stunning. thank you both so much - especially as I didn't have any to send you back.
Powertex is a fabric stiffening liquid, you get very very messy but it is fabulous fun!
I have received some ATC's from the anniversary swap - my swap is coming from Bridget sending from the other side of the globe so obviously that is still on the way, but I did receive one from Annie and Jo (Wipso and Twiglet) and also from Jill, who was my partner, and who sent me back one.. and they are all gorgeous:
and this is Jill's - love the little bee, and the wall is so textured.
I mentioned last week that I was going to a Powertex workshop, and it was absolutely fantastic - I wrote about it in the previous post but this is the standing Angel we made -
the painting of the dried fabric is very subtle, meant to be - just some dry brushing with a shimmery paint - a bluey-green and gold. I may add a little more, I am letting it sit on the window sill for a while and will see what I think
She measures about 20 inches tall
** Edit. Jan has heard from Julia's husband to say that Julia's operation went well and she is now in HDU recovering. Lots of love and hugs to Julia, what a relief. Now lovely lady, you can get better; fully and soon I hope xx

Sorry you've got linking problems again...I honestly don't know why, I've followed Julia's instructions for the past three weeks and it's been different each time! Anyway, I've linked you in, you're number10.
That Powertex Angel is amazing, the workshop must have been fun!
Hugs, LLJ xxx

Golly, Helen. Just read the post about the workshop as well as this one... That powertex work is something else, isn't it? 20inches tall???!! Where do you think you might keep the finished model as a window sill is obviously a bit narrow... Glad you had such a good time. However did you get her home on the train?
Take care. God bless.

Your angel is amazing! I learn so much about other crafts from visiting all the desks. Add this to my "I want to try that too" list.
Happy Wednesday! LisaDV #38
Hi Helen, I really, really love your Powertex angel. What a gorgeous piece. There have been some fab ATC's this year, haven't there? Great news on Julia too.
Doug's been a happy bunny, he loves building stuff, and he'd bought a nail gun to help make the job easier. I do stop and have a rest quite often, as soon as I start getting out of breath. Don't have a choice, Doug is glowering at me, and ordering a break if I don't, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #18 xx
Wow, what stunning work with the Powertex - that Angel is a beauty - I love the effect on the wings. It looks like the workshop was great fun. Thanks so much for the visit earlier, I hope you have a great week,

I think your angel is perfection as is. It's refreshing to see one in a darker colour and I just love the wings and the folds.
Gorgeous atc's too.

I have never done Powertex myself but everyone who does it says its great. (Shaz Silverwolf does it)
Your angel looks lovely. It's the sort of thing you'd gladly display in your living room. Well done.
I'm now going to your previous post to read all about it.
Have a good week,

A lovely selection of ATCs. I knew I wouldn't have much time so stuck with making two to swap with my partners. The angel looks amazing. I'd love to get messy with a project like that. Have a great week.
