WOYWW 289 - it's beginning to look a lot like....

... Christmas... even here, where I have no space for a tree.. well not a big one!
the hand made cards I've received so far are on the living room window sill where I can see them all the time.. The little tree is battery operated but sadly doesn't show up so well today... it's lovely and sparkly though!  The tall jar of pot pourri needs re-fragrancing too....
and the window sill at the end of my hall/top of the stairs, has my remaining decorations, the lovely basket of dried spiced fruit I got last year at the York Christmas market, and a greenery swag, and this year I bought a little set of battery operated lights (again they don't show up too well)
a little better here and you can see the wooden icon I decorated a couple of years ago. (the red lights you can see are a neighbour's, down the road, lol!!)

but you're here for a desk -
well,of course I don't have one, but here is my floor today,  I have been Christmas shopping - for me.... well I did get some gifts at the same time, but when a girl has a SIL who also crafts, it's too tempting to buy things for me too.... this is today's haul, there are more on the way!!!

Now, I've kept you long enough, you need to get back to Julia's Stamping Ground to visit some more desks. Happy nearly Christmas!

Congrats! :). I love your tiny tree. Once the kids decide its not important then aye I an get away with that. I do love it when it's up but the putting up and taking down is SUCH a pain.

Lucky SIL too. Can't think of anyone I'd rather shop for ME than You LOL! Shame my brother is already married...(wink)

What a lovely crafty haul. Of course, if you buy someone else crafty stash, you must treat yourself too.

Hi Helen,
Those hand made cards are beautiful. They deserve a prominent place amongst your decorations. And your dried fruit basket is lovely too. All very tasteful.
Wow, what a haul! I didn't quite understand what the Art Parts were. Wooden embellishments? Or card die cuts?
Thank you for visiting and for your kind words. Have a good week

I used to go all out on decorations but this year I've held it down to a minimum. I did put the wreaths on the windows and my large tree and I did the mantle. Now I realize it all has to go back up after the holiday. Love all the goodies you have to play with. What fun!

Nice collection of Christmas cards and decoration on your window sill and some great goodies! I don't think I could buy crafting products as presents - I wouldn't want to give them away! Is that selfish, LOL? Happy WOYWW zsuzsa @InkyDinkyDoodle #24

Wonderful Christmas decorations. It is always fun to see how others decorate for the holiday.

All my shopping is finished, except for me. Since NONE of my family members will shop for crafty items I do it myself. That way I get what I WANT....well, I sort of just shop and then tell DH "Look what you got me!" Makes us both smile....LOL I did notice you didn't sort your new stash into her's and mine piles......so just how much is for YOU??.....grin

Thanks for visiting Betsy, and commenting this week, has been a while since we joined in the fun.

Here's to a beautiful, peaceful and joyous Christmas!

Hi Helen,

What a nice display of cards and garland. Very festive indeed!

Congrats on being number one this week!!! Yay.

I am trying so hard not to add to my craft supplies but then I see a desk like yours and it makes me think, maybe just one more stencil or spray or stamp or....

Hi Helen, I think you could do with someone to help you play with the new stuff Lol!
I need to pop back later and have a good look at that canvas you have been making. I love brusho inks, I have been amazed at how they have caught on recently. I used to use them with my children when I was teaching and never heard of them anywhere else and now, well everyones using them.
Happy crafting and thanks for the visit, Angela x 31

It's important to shop for oneself too... otherwise how do you know what to recommend as a gift for anyone else?!?

The decorations are looking good - have spent today getting tree decorated etc so I'm also starting to realise it really is Christmas in a minute...
