WOYWW 550

What a lovely round number - welcome along for another WOYWW - time to share our crafty spaces once again; Julia has the link as always .   Bit weird to think this time next week it will be Christmas...

There has been some more enabling (although I seem to have double clicked on one of the stamps and got two ...
sent in a nice festive sparkly envelope (Country View's advent of course)

the "special" cards got made and posted without being photographed for posterity... it's only now that I realised that!

I do have one though, that hasn't been sent in the post  as it's for my brother and his family and I'll be passing it over in person, at some stage.

Not sure yet if I'll be seeing them on Christmas Day itself or before to hand over presents,

background is distress oxide sprays, with JoFY stamps and glitter...

I tried hard to capture a picture of my Christmas decorations without too many reflections in the window of the room, but it has proved impossible.

it's just not the same without the lights on in daytime!  It is also remarkably similar (i.e the same) as last year!

Of course I toddled off to Kew last Saturday - it was a gorgeous day!

I will be late visiting today as I am unlikely to get time at work (during my lunch break of course) as we are having our Secret Santa distribution with food and drink!

See you soon!

WOYWW 445 - it's the chilly one!

Wednesday again!  Time for WOYWW again!    it's been so cold here (though at least the brief snow we had on Sunday didn't last, unlike some parts of the country)

The cards are written - the cards are posted- yay me!   Don't ask about the presents shopping though...
Here was the pile of cards awaiting stamps earlier this week
obviously I've turned the top ones over to hide addresses.. the pile on the right is the one for posting.   They should hopefully be arriving at their destinations any time soon.
As usual Susan who owns Country View Crafts is doing her Advent special offers... different one every day..  I've shopped a couple of times (though the reindeer die I got before the offer came up sadly!)

Am hoping now my cards are sorted I can have some me-playtime!
Regulars know just how crowded my rooms are with all my craft stash here there and everywhere. so there isn't much space for Christmas - no tree - but I do clear the window cills and display some bits and pieces.

Living room...

hall at the top of the stairs..

and as my cards arrive they are pinned up - the hearts are tree decorations for my non tree and show scenes of London, plus there is one from Kew too.  I will try and remember to take some closeups of them as they are fab!

sorry about all the photos - taken on the camera obviously - thanks to those of you who responded on FB or my Kew post from Saturday about my bad luck Saturday - have replaced the watch and sent the phone for repair - just hope it's back for Christmas, I can't stand not being able to sit on the sofa and message or tweet in comfort!

WOYWW 289 - it's beginning to look a lot like....

... Christmas... even here, where I have no space for a tree.. well not a big one!
the hand made cards I've received so far are on the living room window sill where I can see them all the time.. The little tree is battery operated but sadly doesn't show up so well today... it's lovely and sparkly though!  The tall jar of pot pourri needs re-fragrancing too....
and the window sill at the end of my hall/top of the stairs, has my remaining decorations, the lovely basket of dried spiced fruit I got last year at the York Christmas market, and a greenery swag, and this year I bought a little set of battery operated lights (again they don't show up too well)
a little better here and you can see the wooden icon I decorated a couple of years ago. (the red lights you can see are a neighbour's, down the road, lol!!)

but you're here for a desk -
well,of course I don't have one, but here is my floor today,  I have been Christmas shopping - for me.... well I did get some gifts at the same time, but when a girl has a SIL who also crafts, it's too tempting to buy things for me too.... this is today's haul, there are more on the way!!!

Now, I've kept you long enough, you need to get back to Julia's Stamping Ground to visit some more desks. Happy nearly Christmas!
