Men are resistable

Not that I'm bitter and twisted at all!

I just needed a bit of time to do something crafty - Mum was discharged yesterday but sent back again today to the hospital!!!!!!!!!!

I went to see her on my way home from work and she is waiting to see the doctor again tomorrow.  She sent me away after an hour because she said I looked thin and as if I needed a good meal, and tired - was I sleeping - answer, not much no!!

So to take my mind off things, this is my entry for Hels'  Sunday Stampers - Resist; and Simon Says Stamp and Show - Men Only.

As soon as I saw the theme for Simon Says I knew there could only be one man - Umbrella Man!  I used the die and cut him twice from the Kraft stack (scraps, please note!)
Used pumice stone over the resist technique and stormy sky on umbrella man, with tea dye and aged mahogany on the sentiment, edged walnut stain.
Thanks for all your good wishes, it is nice to know you are thinking of us at this tough time.

I like that statement, must point that out to OH now and again haha.

Must get myself a watermark pad, honestly, its been on my *buy this now* list for over 3yrs !

Off out to the mainland for the day tomorrow, enrolling at college to do NC art and design via study at home & blocks of study at collage (collage for 2 weeks home for 4 weeks) so a trip to the local art store is in order to pick up that watermark pad haha

Take care of yourself!! :) As for your umbrella man piece...it's wonderful! I love the "twins" with their umbrellas. Your colors and techniques are nice. Thank you for taking the time to join us for Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. I hope that making your beautiful piece helped you to relax and find some quiet time! <3 Candy

Good Monring Helen

Sounds like a worry with your Mum, but I did smile at the reference to needing a good meal, sounds very familiar to mine.

Pleasing result yesterday and a cracking match to watch, even if our passing was a bit suspect.

Great card BTW, still can't get my head round the man and his brolly, he never seems to fit wherever I try and use him, obviously an aquired art that I have yet to master.
