WOYWW 70

Hi, welcome to another Wednesday chez Julia's, for noseying round the desks and cupboards (and floors!) of the crafting world. Stop over here to find the link. Thanks to everyone who came by and left a comment last week.

There's not a lot happening here this week, I haven't really done much crafting at all lately.  I did get my new texture fade Halloween Night & Poisin set, which I've had a bit of fun with.

Just need to find something to use it on now!  It's embossed on a piece of grey textured card, though I used the smoother of the sides. I swooshed some colour over the top with the blending tool, to catch the raised areas, used black soot and rusty hinge.  I then used black enamel accents on the animals and to highlight bits of the spider web.

I've ordered some little bits and pieces of idea-ology which may arrive tomorrow (well, today, really as you're reading this on Wednesday) (I have things sent to work, so I don't have to trek to the sorting office to pick them up after not being in for the postman!) but you'll have to wait for next week to see them.
I also need to have a really good tidy up because I am going to have to get Virgin Media in to fix my phone - the phone is ok, but the line is dead - and yes, I've paid the bill!!  But before I organise that, I need to make a whole lot of space for the engineer...... that could take some time, folks!  Worse thing, is I don't know how long it's been bust as I haven't tried to use the phone for a while.

Anyhow, you don't need to hear my grumbles, I'll let you get on - have a great Wednesday hop!

It sounds like you and I are living parallel lives right now. I never use the phone, but sometimes people do call me. Lately it's been the canned "robo" calls from politicians gearing up for our elections in November.

Like you, I've hit a dry spell in my art making. I can't seem to get motivated. But, you don't want to hear my grumbles, either (Grin), so I'll just wish you a very happy WOYWW and hope you get a bit of organizing done while cleaning up for the phone guy.

Sounds a lot like me at the mo! I had someone round to get my wifi up and running and did not realise for over a week that he had not put the phone socket back in!!! I swear if it was not for the internet I'd get rid of my phone ;)

Hope you get up and running again soon!
Love the TH stuff!

Wow, texture fades. I just want them all. I agree with Sioux, the phone people have you by the short and curleys. You just have to have a phone line for nearly everything. Makes me mad. Hope yours gets fixed quick.

Tidying up is highly over rated ... treat yourself by playing in between tidying :0) If you use your scraps ... you will be tidying and crafting ... cool huh!!!!

I adore those images! I may have to splurge on them when my stash ban is lifted.

I know that feeling well with the phone, I don't tend to use our landline and also wouldn't know if it went kapuut. Good luck with clearing the space *evil snigger*

Lordy Helen - if that was grumbling, you ain't had training! Good luck with the whole Media guy thing...the clearing up a bit is just the distraction you'll need...and then you'll be itching to get going again. I do like the black glossy stuff - thatis very good, huh.

Your card looks great (those texture fade embossing folders are great).

Good luck with your engineers visit - at least it's an excuse for a really good tidy up.

Thanks for already coming to see my workspace.

Love the texture fades and have picked them up a couple of times in the store, but so far, put them back again too! We don't use the phone much either so didn't know that we had an issue a few weeks back, we could dial out but no one could dial in, ah it was so peaceful without the ringing phone!!
