woyww 907

Well hopefully we are all here today,  to carry on WOYWW  after an attempt by Barbara from Clarity to hijack the name for her own tribute to Sarah... Julia has left her a polite comment!  the link is at the Stamping-Ground !!

I started this journal page a couple of weeks ago but didn't like the start of it

it was too dark so I added gesso to knock it back
the stencil is by Stencil Girl and I love it.  haven't used it for ages... (no surprise there)

I added stamping around the edges (a kind of smudgy background image) in brown and then some greenery (almost wish I'd not done it in green)

the skulls at the bottom are a Carabelle stamp (before they went out of business)  I think I got it in Paris so that's 2014 .... they are stamped in grey on tissue to merge into the background.
a couple of stamped quotes - from one of Alison Bomber's very early sets for Paperartsy... was horrified to see I had never opened the pack let alone stamped any of them!

both quotes (I only zoomed on one) are by her beloved Shakespeare

my weekly trip to Kew on Saturday was another beautiful autumn day... but the one coming may very well be wet!  I know we need the rain, but not on Saturdays!!

the light in the Temperate House made up for not much plant-wise of interest at present

thanks for dropping by. happy WOYWW to you all.
