WOYWW 892

Happy Wednesday to all - another WOYWW has rolled around.  Head to Sarah's for the link and we'll all moan about the heat again!  I can't wait for autumn...

I used the other set of Alison Bomber's stamps this time, the hydrangea set.

coloured with the new pencils which I am still enjoying

Kew on Saturday was colourful

it was just before it got really hot again

I was measuring the sunflowers....

and when walking through some knee-high grass decided I'd recreate a Flake advert from donkeys years ago (shame there were no poppies left)

there's another one one the blog of me trying to get up... why is getting down always so much easier?!

I've been watching lots of football from the World Cup and yes, stayed up till 2am to watch the England match on Monday morning.

some of us met at Monica's for brunch at 10 - it was planned as either a celebration or a commiseration - luckily the former !

it did get very warm but the parasols helped.

then it was off to work for the afternoon!

I am planning on Kew on Saturday but it will doubtless be another short visit because it will still be nearly 30 again.

thanks for dropping by, happy WOYWW  and I hope you stay cool.

I love the color scheme you used for your beautiful flower journal page. Those sunflowers are amazing to me, especially since ours in SW Texas are only about half that size. Blessings!

Your Kew pics made me smile - I love the flake moment but the sunflower one is brilliant 🌻🌻Fingers crossed for footie success on Saturday. The last match was amazing! Your hydrangea page is gorgeous. x x Jo 🌈

Oh that pic of you and the sunflowers made me smile so much! Absolutely brilliant and was the Flake recreation, poppies or not lol!! What a great place to work for if they organise brunch after the footie, that’s looking after your staff properly eh? Hope you cope with the heat ok, I might just sit in a cold bath for a week….

The flowers on your journal page are gorgeous, love the colours you used too. I'm afraid working on the Christmas card had no effect on the heat but I wish it did as I'm not a lover of the sun but then we wouldn't want the awful flooding either than some countries have had. Great to see you enjoying the get together and the photo of you and the sunflower is lovely. Have a good woyww, hugs Angela x6x

Happy hosting-knitting WOYWW!
Gorgeous flowers! And yeah, I am so over the heat for sure. I long for one of those nothing-but-rain summers about now.... Your Luckily celebratory gathering looks fun - for us, not so much the middle of the night celebrations by the leavers from the local social club LOL!

Your sunflower picture with you really made me smile, it’s a lovely image. Your colour pencil page is beautiful. Loved seeing all the Kew colours as well as Kinky and the swans. (Sounds like a band name!)
I’ve been telling people hear in France that Harry Kane’s going to be the next Prime Minister but they don’t get it.
Happy WOYWW
