WOYWW 879

Happy WOYWW fellow deskers, I hope you all had a happy Easter and enjoyed some good weather. Head to Sarah's for the link and share what you've been up to.

I used some of the new stamps in a journal page - filling the background with various of the text stamps and then stamping some of the other images separately and adding them.
I wanted to have a play with part of the map tissue, it proved a bit tricky to glue down (because I won't use a paintbrush with glue but a silicone brush which was a bit brutal for some of the tissue so i got a few holes.

I painted it with a mixture of watered down translucent paint (Paperartsy) and Mattints (glazes from Paperartsy)  which once dry looked better than wet..

I had 2 trips to Kew, the normal Saturday one when it was grey and cool, and Monday when it was beautifully sunny!  what a difference!  Enjoy the pics if you have time.

Back to work now, so I'll catch you when I can

Oh WoW the tissue map looks even better close up. You did a great job to get it on the page and I know exactly what you mean about brushes and glue. I can't see any holes and they add texture anyways - super job. Lovely tulip photos and really tame Great tit. Gorgeous pink blossom tree hope the titan flowers on a Saturday too. Hugs Bj#3

That map tissue is fab and looks great as a journal page! I keep old brushes for glue and clean them out with washing up liquid, works well. The Kew pods are fab, a bit of sunshine makes a world of difference!!

I love working with tissue but haven't done for some time, it is a special technique for attaching it. Look forward to seeing how you work on it though it looks great just as it is. Wishing you a happy woyww, hugs Angela x5x

Your map looks great, it sounds like it was difficult to glue in place. I loved your two visits to Kew, the tulips are so fantastic that it’s no wonder they were a craze for a while.
It was lovely to see Goldie, the tame tits and especially the goslings, since you had to lie on wet grass to get the shot -such dedication! I hope the titan arum performs for you on Saturday.
Happy WOYWW

Love the idea of using a map...I'm sure you will solve the gluing of it. What a difference a bit of sunshine makes doesn't it?

A trick I like to use is to roll out the glue on something like a gel plate or a page protector, then press the tissue into it. Lift it carefully while wet then press it on to adhere. I do this with die cuts that have a ton of open space cause dotting glue over them is tedious! No matter the page looks pretty good to me! Happy WOYWW!

Oh the purple and white edging on those flower beds…swoon. And the quantity of tulips, no wonder I like more than one bunch in a vase!! You’ve sparked a real thing about glue and brushes….i use my finger on the receiving surface. I like to peel dried glue off my finger!

The tissue map does look very cool! Can't wait to see what you put on top of it! I often use a credit card to move a lot of glue around, and when I have put the paper down I gently use the extra glue on top and gently ease out any wrinkles. Wow, look at all those spring flowers!! I can't wait for them to show up here! Have a great week🌷🌼🌹🌸Lindart #14

Love that tissue paper, reminds of old garden designs we looked at when I was doing my design course. Hope you're having a good week, I am still struggling to keep up (we also decided to start Spring cleaning this week) but a well deserved day of peace today as everyone else is out.
(Scratch that - my daughter has just asked to come over!)
See you soon, love n hugs Cindyxx #13
