WOYWW 877

And whizz.. it's Wednesday again,  WOYWW day. Head to Sarah's for the link and share your crafty space.

I added some more faces (transparencies) to this journal page and used a sheet from what I think is the very first collage tissue pack from Dina,  and cut out the words individually - mainly because I didn't want to keep it in one big piece and hide all the faces!

I used some more transparency faces on the facing page,  but haven't added anything more to this page yet.
then I took to my smaller watercolour journal and some distress oxide inks, and the edge of a credit card to make some marks,
then added some Seth mini stamps

Yet to decide on a focal point (possibly too much background stamping in the darker ink) so may add some more colour to knock them back before adding a focal point)

the bloody boiler conked out again overnight Friday so I had to arrange for B Gas to come back and re-light the pilot light on Monday.

for now it's stayed lit (I still think it was the workers in the street who must have turned the gas off again to me when they fixed downstairs...but can't prove it)

I have bitten the bullet and booked a call for a quote for a new boiler...

I did manage to enjoy Kew on Saturday - the weather was gorgeous

sunny daffodils
silky Pasqueflowers
cherry (or plum) blossom

Can't quite believe this is the last Wednesday in March - next week is April...

thanks for dropping by, I will be round soon. Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 876

Hi deskers,  Wednesday rolled round fast again and it's time for WOYWW  at Sarah's

I had to take Tuesday off work as the gas mains in the street are being replaced and they needed to get inside to move the gas meter and join up the new pipes... then they couldn't get the boiler re-lit so I've had to call British Gas to do it (and booked the service )  so I'm hanging around this morning too... I may already be gone by the time you visit (hopefully!)

I added some more to last week's journal page (again, something Dina did in her supporter live )

then I played about with paint on another page.  the circles are a gorgeous sort of jade green called malachite, not as blue as the picture makes them look
this was one I did at the weekend, brayered paint on the background and Alison Bomber stamps.

Kew was sunshine-filled blossom gorgeousness on Saturday

the forecast this weekend is currently also looking good!

Thanks for visiting, see you soon!

Wishing Neet continued recovery .

WOYWW 875

I can't believe it's Wednesday again and time for WOYWW already. Hope you've all had a good week. Head to Sarah's to find out what it's all about.   I do hope Neet is recovering.

I made some more of the cards I shared last week, in the yellow/purple combo which was my favourite.

I didn't bother photographing them as they are the same as the last batch.

then I took to a journal.  the birds for hair were inspired by a Dina supporters live,  she draws her faces free-hand but I used one of her stencils.

I'll add to it at some stage

Kew last Saturday was the final week of the 2026 orchid display

but there was lots of other colour too

magnolias
tulips
and I gave the stone lion a wig!

thanks for looking, see you soon.

WOYWW 874

Happy WOYWW all... time to share our crafty spaces with Sarah

I spent some time on Sunday - my crafting time - making some cards using the new Alison Bomber stamps I showed last week.  I had fun!

they'll probably birthday cards  - this one definitely
two other colour variations
and another of the stamps on a journal page - typically, so far unfinished

I really do like that stencil in the background though as you can see!

Saturday saw Kew, of course, and what is getting to be a colour-filled garden again
there is one more weekend of the orchids to come
the magnolias are coming out and we even saw some sunshine!

the main area where the magnolias grow at Kew is low-lying and it has been as you know, very wet... it could have been much more squishy than it was, but it was soggy underfoot!

spent some time at the lake and the colours on this mallard's head were just stunning!
what a handsome chap!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you soon.
