Morning peeps, it's time for WOYWW again already. Week 860 - what a huge number!
Head to Sarah's for the link and see what everyone's been up to.
I had an idea for another Christmas card with one of the JoFY monsters.the base he's sitting in is from a Paperartsy HotPicks set and I just cut out the middle square
I probably should have tried to hang him so he's swinging!

maybe I'll have another go
and then I decided it was time to christen the new Dina watercolour journal
and then I decided it was time to christen the new Dina watercolour journal
splashed some of the Dina glosses on the page and then stencilled white paint over the top... at that point inspiration stopped (out of practice!) I've stencilled some words ready for the page, but haven't decided on a focal image yet...
come back next week and we'll see if it progresses.
It's nice thick watercolour paper, it would take some liquid to get through that so hoping it will stand up to lots of mixed media play!
It was a wet trip to Kew last Saturday (and this week is looking similar) so it was a short blog!
i caught the heron in flight as it took off from just by us at the lake
and some gloriously bright colour from the callicarpa.

Happy WOYWW - see you soon.
Next week amazingly is December - I mean, really??

Where has this year gone? I can't believe we are all beetling away with cards, cakes and visits. Your little monster idea is fun - I think you have invented a new range with lots of possibilities 🤣 x x Jo 🌈
Christmas cards don’t have to be traditional do they? I think your Jack Frost is great fun! Callicarpa never looks natural does it? But I adore the colours and that is definitely something I should have in my garden!

I love your Jack Frost monster! Your heron pictures are stunning and I suspect the pigeon and crow were looking to see if they could jump inside your hood to keep warm 😹.
Happy WOYWW

Great photo of the heron and loving the little monster, he's so cute. I don't think I've seen that plant before and will have to look for it next time we go to the garden centre. Happy woyww, Angela x9x
I'm loving your idea with the Christmas card. Hope Kew surprises you with some sun this week.

I thought it was Sponge Bob! Great card and journal page. I got side tracked with the Liquid amber tree. I was half way to wanting one, but realized they grow fast and get big! Then I ended up looking at the Pando tree. https://nhmu.utah.edu/articles/what-oldest-tree-world#:~:text=So%2C%20while%20the%20more%20iconic,during%20the%20last%20Ice%20Age.
Love the heron and would have been very happy to see the carousel horses. Hamish looks very expressive. Happy WOYWW. Angela #4
Super cute card and the journal pages sound great to work with. Amazing shot of the Heron but the purple berries are my favourite, gorgeous colour. Hugs BJ#10
Wow that heron is majestic! Love the card. I wonder if a coil of wire to make the monster wobble might be an idea? No matter, it'll be fab like all your cards :D
Happy day late WOYWW!

Sorry for the generic comment but I wanted to let you all know that I have been and visited before I go to #1 son and girlfriend's for a late lunch. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
Loving your monster card, it does remind me of the latest British gas monster advert!! Kyla
