WOYWW 839

this will be short and sweet, it's sweltering here.. writing on Tuesday as I had to take the day off as there's some work going on with gas mains and they needed to change some pipes inside... luckily they didn't have to get in the loft like they thought.... that would have been dreadful in the heat. (they said the maisonette  they did yesterday was dreadful in the loft)

So it's time for another WOYWW with Sarah

part of the weekend wasn't quite so hot so I had a play in the ledger journal

using the new stamp set from last week
and added some stamps from older sets.

I had intended to do more today but it's just too hot.

plus, my fan broke last week and I haven't been able to replace it yet.....

Saturday at Kew was hot, but thankfully overcast so without blazing sun didn't feel too bad... mostly.

beautiful dahlia

thanks for looking,  catch you soon.

I am hoping by the time you read this, the worst of the heat is over (if the forecast is right) and I might not be quite so drippy!!

I am sorry you are suffering so and without a fan as well. I have been using one of those neck fans and find them fabulous. i've also been running my wrists under cold water. Maybe a face cloth soaked and wrung out would help on the back of the neck. Cannot think of anything else Helen but hope it doesn't last any longer for you.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

The heat has been horrid here hasn't it. Sorry you couldn't get a new fan I don't know how you managed! Glad you got your gas done quickly. We had 2 months of holes and stuff before ours was finally done and a total of 6 months with road restrictions and diversion affecting us here! They still have a connection to be done the the A217 and will be doing a main artery into Banstead next summer hols so I've heard. Oh my! Great journal play but the heat does put a damper on crafting doesn't it. Glad Kew was OK, we're probably going to Wisley today for hubby's birthday. Hugs Bj#7

This is the worst time for your fan to stop working as they are always more difficult to get hold of when everyone wants them. I do not like this weather though knowing me you have probably guessed that I would sooner be in the snowy alps Hee! Hee! Love the way you've used the new stamps and I should learn from you and use my new ones straight away instead of putting them in the box and forgetting I've got them! Stay cool and have a happy woyww. Hugs Anela x9x

I love a cold washcloth hung around my neck, but no fan does sound like a total pain. I'm not lying when I say that pet cooling mat is a lifesaver. Loving the journal page - I like the little "windows" - and Kew must be glorious, if hot (is a conservatory like a greenhouse? No way I would go in there in the heat. Yikes)
Happy WOYWW
