WOYWW 820

Welcome back deskers, it's Wednesday again, can only mean one thing.  WOYWW time!

I am getting so bad at remembering birthdays - it was my SIL's on Monday and my niece's the day before.. well Lynne (SIL) card went in the post on Monday ahem.  I don't have my niece's address so it was a FB message only...

having made the speediest card ever on Sunday...
the background is the new Paperartsy stencil (well had to play didn't I)

the main image is a Stampotique image and the greeting one of Dina's

I also had another play in the new ledger journal,
started but not yet finished..

there's a Dina-style "oops oh well" moment on the left hand page with the reverse bird...
I had used up some leftover gesso on the following page and forgot it wasn't dry when I was stamping the birds..
had to prize the pages apart but in doing so the ink from the birds wasn't dry either so left a mirror image on the left hand page...

Kew on Saturday was a solo visit as Kim skipped it with a heavy cold..
I visited the orchids again..
these are indoors (in the Temperate House) it's still a bit early for the outside ones to be blooming.

there were signs of Spring though, along Cherry Walk near the Temperate House, where the tulips that mass under the cherry trees are just starting to emerge through the grass... yay!!

It's mad busy at work so it may be evening before I get round to see you - happy WOYWW!

Well done on turning the Oops into a Hooray! I have birthdays listed in the calendar together with the person’s age, so easy to forget otherwise. Love the close up of the narcissi, so beautiful!

Sure your SIL appreciated her sunny card even if a little late.

Hard viewing recently, lets hope they all show tonight.

Beautiful cards - I rely on diary reminders for birthdays now, or I’d forget too. Your Kew photos are lovely too, orchids and spring flowers are cheerful in this bitter wind.
Happy WOYWW

When you get to my age you even forget your own birthday.
Love the card you did - such a lovely bright background and I adore the. little figure.
Sorry you are so busy at work but never mind, hometime will be here before you know it.
Hugs, Neet 12 xx

Love the sentiment stamp you have and the oops moment in your journal is serendipity in my book. Wasn't quite sure what I was seeing with the orchids but then I saw it as a bird - phew can't tell you what went through my mind initially!.... Daffs sure do brighten up the world, have some on my kitchen windowsill, love it when they come back in the shops after Christmas. Hugs bj#6

That has to be the craziest girl design I have ever seen! I miss going to craft shops and craft shows to see all the different stamps available. How do you keep up with all the latest designs? I am glad I am not the only one to have “oops oh well” moments. Happy WOYWW. Angel #15

Lovely diary page. I think it looks so nice with old used pages in the background and then new ones created on top.
Happy WOYWW!

Well, I like an oops that works out so well! My oops would have ripped the bl**** page!! Nice stencil (again) and greeting on the birthday card, I really must dig out my stencils and see if I can channel you! Mind you, that might involve channeling the purchase of a lot of paint.....see if I can actually do something first!! I've been away for ten days of holiday and a couple of extra days involved in driving to Yorkshire and staying over for flights etc. seems to have been a very long time...!

I love it when an accident turns out very cool! And it is nice to see spring flowers, even if they are indoors! And nice for you to have grass, not sure when we will see ours again! Have a wonderful creative week! Lindart #17
