WOYWW 808

Happy What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday week 808,,,, time to meet up with Sarah and the gang once more...

I did have a more productive week(end) as I knew I had to get on with the Christmas cards, we're at the end of November for goodness sake!

so Sunday was spent cutting up some of the masterboard and applying them to card blanks...
and stamping some sentiments to go on top...

and bam!  34 cards assembled... just in time to watch the football on Sunday afternoon...   I will need more, and have some more masterboards still to use so watch this space.

I seriously might not do cards next year ... but I say that to myself each year and then always do!

Storm Bert struck at the weekend and I was on the way to Kew for my weekly visit when I got the announcement that they were taking the decision to close due to the weather, so headed into London instead for a short trip.. at least it wasn't as wet as some parts of the country and the wind was worse after I got home...

I hope no-one has been affected by the damage from the storm, it looked truly awful on the news.

Happy WOYWW and see you soon.

Echoing your thoughts re Storm Burt. Thankfully we were not hit but some photos I saw were terrible for some folks.
Sorry you missed your Kew visit, at least you were early for your visit to London.
Hugs, Neet xx 1

I think we must have missed most of that rain thank goodness but I heard it in the night. Well done with the card production. I know making the Masterboard can take time but once you have them the cards come together quickly which is what I love. Have a great woyww. Hugs Angela x10x

Burt was a lot of blowy wind here, damaged the pergola but mostly sound a fury without a ton of damage - for us. I think we were lucky. Well done on the mass-making. I always intend to follow your lead then never do... DOH!
Off knitting AGAIN on WOYWW day!

You did well doing all those cards, it’s funny how sometimes the mojo just flows! I know what you mean about sending cards, cost, hassle etc but I genuinely love getting them and displaying them on the lounge doors. I quite like picking the right card for someone too so I’m a lost cause!

I think I have up on posting some of my cards last year because of the postal strike so half of my friends will think I neglected them. I will try harder this year. Well done on getting yours done. x x Jo 🌈

O gosh I love the multiple fonts on those greeting stamps, they really work for me! That's an impressive number of cards from masterboards, even if you do need more! Bert was horrid, I think we got away lightly. In fact on Sunday, we went to Worthing to see Jen and Olie and although windy, it was completely dry ! Barmy weather.

So glad you managed some crafting. your cards are quite delicate and delightful, and the sentiments are lovely too. Sorry Kew was closed this week, good picture of Tower Bridge in the dank weather though. Hugs BJ#12

Oh my gosh, Storm Bert looks terrible, I'm glad you able to evade it. Your cards cards are gorgeous, you have so many! We have a Postal Strike here, it's hardly worth making any at this point! What a lovely view of Tower Bridge! Have a great week, Lindart #15
