WOYWW 394 but EEEK Who's ready?

Hello deskers..  It's Wednesday.  perilously close to Christmas.  Hands up who's ready?    (I don't really want to know, it will just depress me...)    But before that we have another date with Julia and WOYWW
I did decide to add a bit more to the journal page - so far, a bit more outlining of the shiny green stencilled letters,  and some white splatters. (love splatters!)
I'll probably "faff" a bit more with this still yet.....
So, who's been enjoying the annual CountryView Crafts Advent calendar sale then??? I am sure it's not just me!  (I know Shaz has been keeping an eye on it as she tipped me off one day for some Paperartsy goodies... which I ignored as I DID have most of them that were on offer...!

I have been fairly good so far, just two orders ......

one of which has arrived so far - some Sizzix dies - I love flourishes, and have wanted a really big one for ages... and the Tim Holtz scribbly Christmas (especially the tree) grabbed my eye a year or so ago... so they fell into the basket one day.

and here is a close up of the desk... a tartan ribbbon that came on a parcel that was sent to work, and I was offered first refusal, a tartan wrapped present from my cousin,  waiting for the big day..
and when I was at Kew last week I bought a book "London's secret places" with the idea of finding somewhere different to visit.
But don't hold your breath.... I went to Kew last Saturday in the thick fog - it was amazingly atmospheric - see here if you have time -I know some of you saw the link on facebook

I'd better call it a day, this is not very short and sweet -   I will be attempting once again, after work, to try and get the last two gifts... yes, running seriously out of time.. and no ideas either!! so your desks will be visited later on.  Promise!

It leaves it to me to wish you all, a very Happy, and Healthy (we can hope!) Christmas and New Year  - keeeep WOYWWing!!

Mm Helen ditto on loving those twodies as well, they'd both make great stencils. Enjoy hunting out Londons secret places. I was really fascinated by the Clink. The first goal in London in back street on north bank of Thames. You prob know it well.
Blessings upon you as we remember Jesus' birthday and a healthy 2017.
Happy WOYWW!!

Happy WOYWW and Merry Christmas. Love those Tim Holtz dies. I do not own a die cutting machine (except for a tiny one, so limited in what I can buy) - which is good, otherwise I would be wanting to spend money I do not have! Kew is always amazing - and wish I could visit more often. Ali x #10

Hi Helen, I've been very good too at Susans Sale, I think I've had 3 things so far! The thing is, are we actually being good, or does it mean we already have most of it, lol? I suspect the latter. I'm not entirely finished- I've just realised I have to make Dougs card! Oops.
I almost ordered the Scribbly Christmas, then instead I ordered the Winter Greens. And one of the handwritten words ones, I forget which now, :)
Have a lovely Christmas Helen, much love from us both, Hugs, Shaz xxx

Oh, I bet that book about the hidden places in London will be so interesting and very useful for future trips out - I shall look forward to seeing the photos! That flourish is beautiful, I love them too - if I did papercraft, I think flourishes would be the only thing I used, lol!!
Thanks for all the fun, support and friendship this year lovely gal - it has meant an awful lot,

Hi Helen. Took time to look at your Kew in the fog photos - they are fabulous - really atmospheric. Well done. How easy it would have been to stay in snuggled up by the fire on a miserable day.... well done.
Have a truly special Christmas - hope you get the last two presents you need!!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Helen, yes I have to admit I have had an order from CVC as there were some Tim Holtz stamps that I quite liked but I have also missed some days which is probably just as well Lol! I didn't realise you were on Facebook, will have to try and find you. Wishing you a lovely Christmas and a very Happy New Year, Angela x 14

Love the journal page - so free and fun! Your desk looks very full and ready to create awesome things in the New Year, and those new stamps and dies - send them my way! I'm hoping to get artsy stuff for Christmas, I usually do, so I'm excited as I really don't buy for myself much lately. Have a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #28

A lovely collection of things, Helen, and your journal page is gorgeous. I love spatters too! Your Kew photos are so atmospheric and ethereal. Thank you for your visit and comment - I am definitely hoping for a healthy 2017 - this year it's been one thing after another but thankfully mostly minor, compared with last year lol! My hand is gradually getting better with the physio's exercises and a lot more comfortable with the fingers taped together.

Have a lovely Christmas and happy WOYWW,

Thanks for popping by my blog this week Helen - such a crazy, busy time of year so it was lovely having you visit and now taking a few minutes to catch up in blogland. I LOVE all your photo's from Kew and am amazed at how often you go ... really delighted you love the place so much. I've deliberately avoided CVC advent calendar or I'd be in the D-I-V-O-R-C-E court over the holidays ... BUT am with you on that flourish! Good job I missed it!!!! Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas. Oh yes, I have two goals for next year - one to do more Gell printing and the other to get into journalling - shall be watching your posts with increased interest!!!!! Love to you, Debbie xXx

It's always great to grab a bargain when it's something you really like isn't it. That swirl looks lovely. I really don't know why we put ourselves through the stresses of Christmas. Thankfully, i get gifts when i see them throughout the year so that part is always sorted..it's the food that always stresses me!!
Enjoy the festivities and thanks for popping by earlier.
