WOYWW 341

Just over a week to go... hands up who's ready?    ...resounding silence then...although I am further ahead than I was last week - cards are in the post and I have bought most of the presents - wrapping can happen this weekend!
In the meantime, let's gather at Julia's for some crafty workspaces..here at Stamping-Ground
Not very much happening on my workmat on the floor either... a bit of progress on the square canvas from the Paperartsy Christmas party:

I've intensified the colours on the canvas, and added the grungepaste stencilled dots (you probably can't see very well, though you should be able to click the picture to enlarge it -  I'll do a proper post when I can)
Computer update.... ha ha ha!  It was a faulty model, and all I got was a white screen.. it's gone back for replacement which I await hopefully soon...
It's the office Christmas party on Thursday, so a new dress has been purchased!  We're going to a restaurant somewhere in London (no idea which or where!)  I'll report back next week, although there'll be no photos as I'm not taking the camera, it's too big for parties...
Have a great week and good luck with the rest of your preparations!  See you soon.

Sounds like you are further along than I. Although my Christmas tip-ins are all at their respective homes, I haven't even started my Christmas cards. I confess, the gifts are all in the mail or wrapped, though. Have fun on Thursday. I can appreciate the size of a large camera in a crowd. In a way, I miss my small handheld model that reminded me of a cell phone.

No number yet because Julia is still sleeping.

To reply to your comment, Wendy is slumped over in what appears to be a drunken state to the left of my black basket on the table. She is actually sitting on the cardboard circle and stamps that always sit on my desk, too.

Happy WOYWW. I have most cards written out - just waiting for addresses from my stepchildren (who have both recently moved and seem to be far too busy to let us know their new addresses!). In previous years we have taken cards to many of our farming neighbours - but for the past couple of years that tradition seems to have been forgotten by many, so I have kept some blank cards to one side in case hubby wants to take some round on Xmas Eve. Presents are bought - just waiting for a few to arrive in the post. I now need to wrap them all and parcel up the ones that are for family we do not see over the festive period. I have bought a lot less this year, but still seems like a lot to do. Ali x #13

Hello Helen. Ok, I'm owning up with my hands in the air - yes, I'm ready - not because I'm super efficient or anything, simply because I saw the way John's health was, and simply got on at any spare moment. Glad I did, now!!
Your space looks as busy as usual - how I envy you your obvious fitness to be able to work at floor level. If I get down there the struggle to get up is comical (and painful) to watch!!
Thanks for already visiting.
Take care. God bless.

Hello Helen. I'd say you are ahead of me!! I've gotten two handmade cards and it really made me WANT to make some cards! I haven't done that in years but I do have all the supplies required.
Your canvases look amazing! I did enlarge the photo to take a closer look. Very cool.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday (although I'll probably visit you again before the time comes)!!

Happy WOYWW

Am well able to type as my hands refuse to go up in the air - ie I am NOT anywhere near ready for Christmas.
Shame about the computer but hey ho, these things do happen, but why did it have to happen to you?
Enjoy your party will we get to see the new dress?
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me, Neet 11 xx

Fab canvas. I do hope you enjoy your Christmas party. I miss them. Not working means I don't have work do's to go to. However my brother and SIL are having a party on Saturday so I'm going to that. Even found some non-alcholic cider to take, better than drinking squash while the rest are drinking! Lol Take care Zo xx 40

Nope, very unready! Got a tree today but yet to get it to stand in the stand!

So sorry to hear your computer was a dud - hope they'll hurry up with a brand spanking new replacement that works... and I hope you're enjoying the party right now!
