Welcome back to another fortnight's challenge from the Dragons Dream - this time, the lovely Gabrielle has set the challenge, and it is green, and to use a quotation.
I started with a pale manilla tag, and sponged Cracked Pistachio distress ink all over the background, spritzed and flicked water and added some more ink.
Then I took the quote I was going to use, (Tim Holtz life quotes set) and stamped it several times in Cracked Pistachio, over the tag (as you can see, I got so carried away there are no step by step photos!)
stamped one of the Crazy Birds on tissue, and painted it with some Deco Art paints (apple green, burnt umber, pumpkin patch and canary)
Stencilled some chicken wire in library green archival
Added some little wooden butterflies painted with blue bird, a touch of violet interference paint and a swipe of white antiquing cream, before pouncing the remaining blue bird over the top
added a bit of green ribbon and fixed my main quote with staples from my replacement tiny attacher.
Really had fun with my green, Gabrielle, great choice! Hope you'll come and see what the others have made (you're in for a treat) and do join in - don't forget to use at least one stamp on your tag.

LOVE your bird and that amazing quote! It's brilliant and very deep! Your chicken wire around the bird looks terrific! Another triumph! Love your biggest fan x
SWEET one!!
Fab loving that little bird
Isn't green the best colour - next to blue, of course? I love how you used it on this tag, Helen. The Pistachio is just gorgeous! The little bird looks fabulous and the Tim Holtz sentiment is great. This is a really lovely tag. xxx
Ah, so that's what the bird was for! A great tag and I like how you used a monochromatic ink in the background to repeat the sentiment. Very nicely done, too.
I forgot to thank you for the lovely ATC. How rude of me. It is gorgeous and got a compliment from one of the commenters who doesn't play in WOYWW. Speaking of WOYWW, I DO sit on the rocker, every time I clean it. And I have three that are big enough to ride, although the other two are wooden.
As for SOC, I was there right after Kristin announced the colors, so I had over two days to play with the colors and come up with a design. At first, I was going to use my gelli plate, then decided to go a far different route.
Still loving those Kew photos!!!! When do WE go back? I'll be with you in spirit, if nothing else.
Thanks Helen, it was a wonderful day and, when I was invited to participate, I didn't know it was a competition until a day or so before!. The voting isn't up yet so I'll let you know.
I LOVE love love that gooney looking bird and it has made a super tag!

Love that funky bird! Great tag! x
The quirky bird is proof of his own "Creativity". LoL Such a fun bird image to create with and you've done him proud here. A really fun tag!
Ha ha! Those birds just crack me up :oD Great quote too. Lx
Love that quote. That bird though - he's fabulous :D
Such a cute tag - I love those butterflies hovering over his head - no wonder he looks confused. I've finally given in to the crazy birds - they're en route!
