WOYWW 179

Happy WOYWW to you all again - time to meet up at Julia's for another desk reveal.... and as Tuesday was the first Tuesday in the month, it was my Sister-in-law's craft club again so I WAS working on a desk again - I could get used to this!!

Packed my bag on Monday night as there isn't much time to turn round after work and go out again, I do need to eat first too! Once again took far too much...

Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures there .... but I was on a Christmas card kick with my latest fave stamps (JoFY for Paperartsy)
 - here they are - coloured with water colour pencils, though I took the wrong paintbrush to do the watering bit properly so will have to fix them later!

The pan pastels are out because I took them intending to make some backgrounds for the next lot of cards, but ran out of time.

I won a raffle prize, too - the paper strips at the front.

In the plastic pouch (purple) are some swaps I put together for an upcoming DT day for Crafty Boots which is happening the weekend after next.... but it's a secret at present so you can't see them! I did also assemble these tonight, so I wasn't only on card making duty!

Will try and get round as many of you as possible, till then have a good week!

Lovely images, Helen. I only ever use one brush now for watercolouring - the purists would have a fit. I just use my Derwent refillable water brush. works brilliantly, and it does not matter if it gets knocked over. Have a good week. xx Maggie (No number yet)

Images look great to me! what's to fix? Is that a stencil I spy off to the right? Different sized dots or is just partially out of the bag? Happy WOYWW! Nan 19

The cards are gorgeous and I love the paper you won. I use a waterbrush with my watercolour pencils, but I have three sizes. I found them much better than normal brushes.
Have a great week.

less crafty at a desk, huh!! I always always over pack and always always miss something important! Looks as if you had a very productive evening, am very impressed. I do like the JoFy stamps very much, but to be honest, have been slightly put out by the price..,I can't decide if that's because I want them all and that's a chunk of money or because I think they are genuinely a bit over priced!!

Gosh you are keeping craftily busy and having fun in the process. It's inevitable we take too much to workshops as we crafter don't like to compromise and like to have all we need with us. It would be good to sit down (in your case kneel) and have everything provided.
I'm going to be able to do this at the weekend when I go to a lino printing class with Lynn Doodly Bird and Carol C...just take ME!!!
Love jo x

That snow man with his head next to him so cute.. Over pack never if you left something behind that would be the thing you would want.. Just to let you know the owls have hatched and I managed to get a photo of the babies. I have it on my blog. Sandy :) #44

I've looked at those stamps as well but gave myself a smack on the hand and told myself I have far too many Christmas stamps already. May ignore 'me' and buy some.
Lovely cards and a very busy 'desk' as usual.

No, no, no - it CANNOT be a desk, I am crazed from lack of sleep, obviously, and too much Happy Dancing after the polls closed, clearly. Must resist the siren call of the Pan Pastel, tho' Just say NO! is my motto...

I have two aqua brushes that I use all the time, a thin and a thicker one. Great images, I remember seeing the stamps on your "desk" at one point! Nice to get out and do some crafting but I know I'd never know what to take! I never realised the socks and the papers matched!

Your club sounds great fun and you certainly look as though you got lots done. It doesn't seem to matter how much we take to crops but we never have that one thing we really need do we!!

Good to see people are getting in early and making Christmas cards, I am still unmotivated after coordinating and making what amounted to 3000 xmas cards from March-August so I dont want to see another one again lol. Love those paper strips

Helen, you have so many fun crafty gatherings to attend! I am like you in that I tend to pack up too much in my big scrapbook rolley bag--but it is nice to have what you need. Cute paper strips you won too! Have a great week at work, and at your crafty things. Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #24

Love the snowman stamp and the tree but really I daren't buy anything else until I have used all of the stamps at least once in my collection!!!!! Doesn't everyone take to much when they go crafting somewhere else . We all seem to have this vision that if we are away from home we will do twice as much as we normally do in the allocated time. Whereas in reality we probably do much, much less as we have to catch up with what everyone else is doing. !!Tricia 124

I lovethe new Jofy stamps, but I have already bought my new Christmas stamp - not sure I can justify any more as I have quite a few already, many still unused (bad stamper!!). I always take too much when I go anywhere crafting - cannot choose!! Thanks for stopping by, Cindy #78

I don't go out to any crafty thing at the moment but when I did I always forgot something vital! Lots of cards from your class but I did do a double take at your snowman ... his poor head. Way past Wednesday, it's now Friday, too late to wish you a happy WOYWW so I'll wish you a great weekend instead. Elizabeth x #75

Hi Helen

I'm getting worried about you... I've a feeling you may abandon your floor sooner or later.

Imagine you with a desk. Revolutionary lol...

Hope you are well. I love those little Christmas cards. Cute.

Happy WOYWW - I've just uploaded week 179 because I'd actually done week 178 again... I'm losing the plot!! So was at #60 but now at #135 (DOH!)
