WOYWW 177 - homework done!

Welcome to another Wednesday blog hop fest, hosted by Julia at the stamping ground - go on, I dare you to share your desk or craft space! That's what WOYWW is all about.

Well, as the title of this post suggests, I have completed the "homework" set by Julia and Jan - in our goody bag we came away from the WOYWW crop with, was a little card kit - you may have seen some of them completed last week

This is the contents of the kit we got.
and this is how I interpreted it.  I couldn't work out a way to incorporate the house, so have kept that for another time.
some of you at the crop know I was faffing about (very technical term, that!) with the Tim Holtz snowflake die I'd just treated myself to and which just happened to have been cut out in red distress coredinations paper

I also had the chance to do something with the other bits and pieces I'd saved from the day, and have scrapped them in my journal.  Now I don't do "proper"
scrapbooking, but wanted to make a memento of the occasion.

I borrowed a copy of the group photo that LLJ's husband took and printed it out, plus me in "my" designated space, of course...
painted the journal page with black paint, and dripped some watered down paint down the pages.

My name badge, and the ribbon from my chocolate medal (ate the chocolate of course!)
the tag from the goody bag, and the group photo.  Used a textile pen for the words, love how well it shows up on the black paint.

And so you don't feel cheated, there is a "desk" (floor) shot too, with some work in progress!

Thanks for your comments last week, hope I didn't shock you all so much with the extent of my stash spread that you refuse to come back again...!!

have a great WOYWW.

Nothing wrong with a good faff, especially when it leads to such a gorgeous card. A red snowflake... it does rather make me think of all my snowflake stamps in a different way!

Happy WOYWW.

Love your card...the little house thing is causing me a lot of surprises. You are so on the ball, I will be scrapping the Crop (so to speak) but haven't even thought about it yet...love your pages; it was a day to remember huh! And yep - she got a job and everything is well balanced now...well, that part of my head!!

Thanks for stopping by. Love the journal and as far as I am concerned that IS proper scrapping! What a great way to remember the day. Love the red snowflake, thought it was a Valentine's card until I scrolled down - LOL - so I guess the die could be used for non snowflakes just as well. BJ#8

A great way to mark and remember a fab get-together and a lovely card as well.
My eyes are drawn to your journal page - love the muted colours, afraid I go over the top a bit with colour.

Thanks for visiting earlier - just catching up on a few desks before I walk the dog.

What a lovely "scrapbook" page you have made - I am not a scrapbooker either but I will be making something to remind me of the lovely occasion! It was so nice meeting you there again! When I came home I found the Christmas stamps you have been using at the crop in my mailbox! It is your fault I bought them but I really love them!

LOL - I always love your floor space - but hey, at least things don't fall off it!!!

Great take on the card kit - that T!M die is turning up an awful lot, and I NEED it too....

I'll be scrapping my photos - and everyone elses too! I'll probably do a normal layout and then do a couple of pages for Project Life.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love how the journal pages turned out, if you'd made a traditional page then it wouldn't be "you" would it? Love the card, always love anything with kraft card anyway, and of course, you know me and Christmas!

Superb card, that die really works! I wasn't shocked at all by your desk/floor, am sure more of us wish we could spread out and not have to worry about putting things away. Though as you know the floor is not an option for me, but I do seem to make mine a mess no matter what I do! Take care lovely, Zo xx 71
