Hels' Sunday Stamper challenge features one of my all time favourite bands - Queen - and the theme Queens and Crowns and I couldn't let it pass without entering. So here at the 10th,if not the 11th,hour is a tag! I was lucky enough to see Queen once, as a 16 year old at the Hammersmith Odeon Christmas Eve concert... think I may have mentioned this before!! it was 1975.... oh Freddie....Look at the ticket price!! £2.50- £2.50!!!!!
Sorry, where was I?
I started with Dylusions sprays - the turquoise and purple - blotting the main tag with a second spare one for late.
I sponged some white paperartsy paint through the Dylusion alphabet stencil randomly over the tag.
Then I stamped the Dina Wakley figure on a piece of white card and blended some DI's (peacock feathers and seedless preserves0 over it.
Wrote "Queen for a day" on a piece of scrap and cut it out.
the crown is Tim's stamp, on grungepaper and coloured with saffron archival ink and sprayed with the yellow Dylusion spray.
Anyhow, with this nostalgia-fest, I will leave you!
I am also entering this to the Simon Says Stamp and Show, theme is 'anything goes'- and with Freddie, anything definitely went!
They are sponsored for one lucky winner.by Simon Says Stamp with a $50 voucher.
Oh, and this is me with my friends, before we went out... I can't believe we went out like that to a Queen concert - how innocent we were! jeans and jumpers - jumpers!!! That's me in the middle, with the bottle...and that's my Kevin Keegan fanclub poster on my bedroom wall behind me. Told you I'd been a Liverpool fan for donkeys years...

Some fabulous memories Helen. Loving your tag with its fab colours. xx
Ah! Those were the days;)
I am soooooooooo envious as I never saw Queen live...well...not unless you count watching them live on Band Aid!!!
I can see the best of times reflected in your tag.
xoxo Sioux :)
Golly, you really took me bak with your photos, I still have pics of me in a mini skirt, hard to believe now. I was absolutely dotty about Queen (still am to be honest) but never saw them live. Lovely colours in your tag and love that Dina Wakely stamp. Anne x
What fabulously inspirational tags Helen - which would fit our Stampalot challenge perfectly this month.
Still reeling from Wednesdays news, I really didn't see that coming, wonder if Kenny did. I know results were poor, but never expected that. Martinez or AVB, hopefully not, the 'chosen one' would do me.
Will tune in later and will be rooting as a foreigner today.

Fab tag, lush colours & what about you eh? Saw Queen live, unbelievable. Only one of the greatest groups ever, I'm so envious. xx
Fabulous pics Helen, I'm with you on Queen, but Kevin Keegan!! lol (saying that I did have the curly perm in the late 70's) I love your tag and those Dina Wakley stamps are slowly growing on me x
Bargain gig!! Boy things have gotten a lot dearer! Love it, and the Dina Wakely stamp.

ps thanks for visiting my WOYWW, sorry I am running late this week
I thought I had left you a message, but had only left your blog post open last night. I fell asleep before i could comment, I guess. I was also a big Queen fan. Of course, I never got to see them because they never came NEaR where I lived!
Another here who never saw them live so am very jealous. I 'discovered' them through Wayne's World - remember that? *g* I still remember my shock at hearing he had died. At that age I still thought famous people were invincible, I think he was the first one that I had heard of dying. Now it seems like one every month :(
Another gorgeous tag, love those colours.
Love the tag and the use of Dina's stamp - looks amazing - really does. LOVED the photos though! Wish concerts were still £2.50!!!
