WOYWW? Happy Anniversary!

August?  What do you mean it's August...... welcome to another Wednesday where we join in the world-wide blog hop that is What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday lovingly co-ordinated by the fabulous Julia - check out the link for the info.

Whilst I was making my entry for Grungy Monday and Simon Says Stamp and Show a tag - on Monday (scroll down or click here - I needed a piece of red ribbon.... I knew the one I wanted was in the ribbon box somewhere - only look what's happened to the box.... oops!

I also need to go through my box of scraps - it's got a bit messy too - look!  Although I wouldn't want you to think it's a BIG box -

- it sits on top of another box with my Adirondack Dabbers - but it does overflow regularly!

1st August was my brother and sister-in-law's wedding anniversary and I made this card for them which also met the latest challenge at Everything Wendy Vecchi, yahoo group!  (since prepping this post the challenge has closed but I couldn't show you before they got the card, now could I?!)

We had to use 4 differently decorated squares to make one background.  I have used Victorian Velvet DI and some Wendy stamps.  Couldn't find a 'happy anniversary' stamp the right size in my stash (I am sure I had one...) so used the 'with love' instead!

Oh, and don't forget to check out Dragon's Dream Tag it On for another great challenge today - click here to be transported there!   Honestly, it's a wonder I ever get anything done on a Wednesday...... don't tell the boss!!

mwhahahahahaaaa... that ribbon box EXPLODED!!! as for the scraps, you are good, I always chuck mine into the bin and then "need" it.. just after I have emptied it into the big grey outside bin that stinks in this weather and is full of iccky rubbish so I can't rummage through and find the bit I wish I had kept... lol Oh and... There's a giveaway on my desk today ;O))

HA! See? you turn your back on your craft supplies and they multiply, like rabbits gone mad. Good luck sorting it out. It'll be worth it in the end. Love the softly coloured card too.

Happy WOYWW.

You couldn't find something in your stash? Heavens above, why could that be?? :P

I think your ribbon box looks intriguing and it's much better to keep everything together like that and not have any preconceived ideas about what you're going to use on a project! And the card looks fab.

bloody eck Helen - all those stamps and not one Anniversary one - I thought you'd be able to supply the shops with them... you need to put that one right - having said that - you've done them proud as the card is lovely and so unpredictable. Anyone would love something that has been made with love rather than grabbed off a shelf last minute from the garage - ooh - that used to be me... now its last minute still but at least its been handmade.

Missed you and your floor - hope its still there LOL.

Big hugs

Thanks for your visit to my desk over in South Africa! My ribbons got like that and it drove me mad so I wrapped them round some cardboard and stuck them with pins, so much easier to see now!

Ohoh, more luscious ribbon - just pass it my way and I'll sort it out for you :) I think there's a snippet takeover going on - lots of us seem to have quite a stash of it around our work spaces. Love your card - the DI is a gorgeous colour and I like your squares - lovely. Elizabeth x #73

Oh I could come and tidy up your ribbon!! (You might find a few choice pieces have gone for a walk tho!) Think of all the little dresses I could trim with that lot. lol x jo

Actually, I think digging through a pile of ribbons is more fun than looking at a tidy, organized array. It's more like a treasure hunt!

Nice card, I'm sure they loved it.

Happy woyww,

How wonderful your creative chaos is ...I was too shy to show mine...not that it had much in the way of creativity ...but I might have if I had know that there was some one else just as messy as me today. xx

love the pictures of all your goodies. I had to put limits on what I keep and what I don't cause I wanted to keep it all. My ribbon has to be at least 8" long or I trash it (and then wish I hadn't)Paper has to be at least 6x4in or it gets trashed. I had boxes and bags that I didn't know I had cause I kept accumulating. Broke my heart to get rid of it and I didn't feel very Green when I did it. Thanks for sharing. Vickie

Now that’s what I call a box of scraps Helen!
Just recently I’ve been trying to use mine up as I go by making another card straight away and keeping it for emergencies, so I always have a card if I need one in a hurry. I must admit that I’m not always good thought and still have a little pile of scraps sitting here.

Love the pretty anniversary card too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday.
Happy Crafting!
