WOYWW 114? a TIO tag!

Hi all - hope you are safe and secure and not caught up in the madness that seems to have erupted in England this week! Even Sutton is preparing for possible trouble, when I came home from work on Tuesday the shops were closed early, shutters pulled down and bracing for - who knows what -  it is at times like this that I wish there was someone else in the flat.... Monday night I went to bed with the sound of police sirens in the distance - there were minor disturbances at the other end of the High Street to me, but nothing on the scale of what's happened elsewhere (thank goodness!)

Anyhow, this week I am combining my posts for WOYWW with my DT piece for Dragons-Dream Tag it On - Zoe has set us on a challenge I found really hard - the theme is Equestrian - and I couldn't find a single 'real' horse stamp at all (in any of my 1500 plus stamps...) horses are not a subject I have ever been "into" . So I totally had to improvise.

I had torn out a Yellow Pages ad for a local stables and was about to stick it to a tag - when I remembered I did have this stamp....

Well, actually two - the carousel at the front is a slightly larger version of the one that appears in the middle of the image that is stamped on the tag.  They are very old because they are by PSX who went out of business quite a few years ago now!
So, Zoe, sorry but I couldn't do better this week!

And to those of you who left comforting comments on my Sunday Stampers post on Sunday - thank you - Mum is settling in well to the care home.
Hope you have a good day, stay safe!!  Try to find time to catch some desks at Julia's!!  All being well, on various fronts, I am going to the show at Stevenage on Sunday so shopping to share next week I hope!
Edit - Wednesday am - all quiet down here!!

I have been so worried about all you gals in England. I know there are troubles erupting in several cities, and High Street seemed like a street I had heard of in London. Not sure where you are, but I hope you stay safe.

Sorry to read about your mother.

Gotta' admit I LOVE that carousel with the roller coaster and such in the background!

Glad your mom is getting used to the home - my mom still lives on her own and I wonder how long she will be able to! I think your tag is great - you still nailed the equestrian theme!

Good thinking outside the box! A jolly nice tag too. Horses don't figure in my stash either.

You did a good job on the improvisation there H. Hope things continue to go well for your mum, my FIL had to go into a home in January, he has Alzheimers and was becoming difficult to handle and needed professional care. He's settled down very well and I think it's harder on the family than it is on him. Stay safe!

I'm sure your Mum settling is a great help to you and your bro...both in terms of her care and her access to everything she needs, including company. As for you - if things get hairy, come and stay with us.
Meanwhile, I'm loving the PSX stamps and the tag...it's as close to equestrian as I've ever come!

Those riots are really scary. I am glad that I am on the other side of the world, but praying that all my bloggy buddies stay safe!
I don't own a horse stamp either, now that you mention it. Do you think that means I should go shopping?
Happy WOYWW

Love your tag, and I've always wanted a use for the yellow pages! Glad your mum's ok and that so far the chaos isn't too near you.My Auntie lives just down the road from some of it, but they've been saying that they dare not go out after dark for at least thirty years. Back then I guess the trouble was with these kids parents and grandparents Happy WOYWW

Great tag Helen! Glad your Mum is doing well, and I've been thinking about you when I heard the news on TV. Hope things are settling down now!

Love the tag its gorgeous. Glad your mum is starting to settle it must be hard. Hope no trouble comes your way, its scary seeing the news, the closest to us was 5miles away in Nottingham, its so awful to see, and it must be worse when living on your own. Kezzy x

Not into horses either so can quite understand you not having any horsey stamps - however, the carousel is cute and those are definitely horses. Pleased to hear that you mum is getting settled into what is her new home. Hope you week gets better - the rioting seems to be on the ebb. Elizabeth x #60

Have not been blog hopping much lately so have only just left a message on your Sunday posting.
Yes, this rioting has been a mess - wonder what others think of us - and with the Olympics coming up!
Glad you sorted your equestrian out - not easy but I think I may have one tucked away somewhere. Love your carousel.

Sorry I am so late getting around but I’ve had a two day’s craft tour. Thank’s for visiting me.
