WOYWW 867

Here we are again, at Wednesday - time for  WOYWW .   I hope you've all had a good week and Neet, if you're reading this I hope you are feeling better.

I added some more details to the journal page from last week, but haven't searched out a quote or any words to add to it yet.
the opposite page, I tried to add some stencilled words but the paint either splodged or didn't show up over the background, so I re-stencilled the pattern over the page again

.... and stopped!

Saturday was of course Kew..  it was meant to be sunny but at the last moment the forecast changed and it was dull...

there were 2 swans back on the lake, for the first time in months.

they made Kim and I laugh, skating over the still icy lake!  there were some great reflections though.
there was some colour in the Temperate House

Hopefully next week will be a little brighter (and the forecast changes from the currently wet one!!)

See you at a desk near you soon.  happy WOYWW

Super pages, the splodged writing looks like it some old english that was meant to be in the background - serendipitous I'd say. Love the colours in the top page. The ice sure makes things interesting. Oh I must try painting 8 petals such delicate flowers. Hugs Bj#3

That flower is so beautiful and the pages are coming along well . I think sometimes you can start with a quote and sometimes it's good to finish with one. Look forward to seeing what you choose for this page. Hugs Angela x4x

Liking the page. I got a few new stencils myself and need to attack my journals again but still mulling over my choice for the 100 days project. Really it should be use something I bought but never used for 00 days - bet I could go for 200.... Lovely thought, the Temperate House. Blinkin' cold here today!
Happy WOYWW!

I love what you’ve done with the pages, the big bold stencil is just right! I think pics of swans and ducks skating around on ice should be prescribed for anyone having a bad day, they never fail to make me laugh!

Great pages and love those flowers. Nice to see the swans. Was that a spaceship at Kew? Lovely to see buds forming. The snowdrops have started pushing through near us. Hugs Angela #13

Looks as if you’ve stencilled over some sort of manuscript now! Love the colours you’ve used, it’s a good stencil too. You’d think the swans would get cold feet wouldn’t you, if it was me I’d be tucked up in a warm ish nest! Hope this Saturday is brighter for you, these grey damp days are not inspiring are they!

I love that stencil you did in blues! Very pretty. And swans are my favourite bird. We are on a migration route so we get to see them in the spring and fall - hundreds of them! They only stay a few days or so, so I have to be sure to get to their spot when they are here! HAve a great week, ❤️Lindart #15

Love how forgiving the pages of this journal are. Also loving the blue stencilling Helen. Over at Mum's and feeling a bit better. Stay safe and happy belated WOYWW. Sarah

Hi Helen
I wonder if a bit of clear gesso over the words would have given you the opportunity to fix the splotches. Just a thought. I'm still learning. LOL
Those swans are beautiful. Love how they didn't let the dull weather keep them under cover.
Creative Blessings & Hugs!
