Here we are again, time to meet with Julia for our weekly desk hop for WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday ) the link is now back at the Stamping-Ground where it belongs after Sarah looked after it for a while.
I started this journal page a couple of weeks ago but didn't like the start of it
it was too dark so I added gesso to knock it backthe stencil is by Stencil Girl and I love it. haven't used it for ages... (no surprise there)
the skulls at the bottom are a Carabelle stamp (before they went out of business) I think I got it in Paris so that's 2014 .... they are stamped in grey on tissue to merge into the background.
a couple of stamped quotes - from one of Alison Bomber's very early sets for Paperartsy... was horrified to see I had never opened the pack let alone stamped any of them!
a couple of stamped quotes - from one of Alison Bomber's very early sets for Paperartsy... was horrified to see I had never opened the pack let alone stamped any of them!
both quotes (I only zoomed on one) are by her beloved Shakespeare
my weekly trip to Kew on Saturday was another beautiful autumn day... but the one coming may very well be wet! I know we need the rain, but not on Saturdays!!
the light in the Temperate House made up for not much plant-wise of interest at present
thanks for dropping by. happy WOYWW to you all.

Happy busy-day WOYWW
Off to take DD to her hair appointment first thing, then knitting.
That page is fabulous - somehow it seems not your usual style, much more representative than usual. I love your style but I love this page quite a lot! Hope you are still healing!

I think this page is stunning! A little different to your usual journal pages but definitely a style to repeat π₯°π₯°. Gorgeous autumn colour at Kew, I’m hoping to get to Aberglasney next week when life is a little calmer!

Aw look at you doing stamping and stencilling and painting , I hope you’re not overdoing the wrist action. It’s a great page, I had to enlarge it to see the green - seems ok to me, and then again to see the skulls, I truly thought they were some sort of baroque patterns stamped repeatedly!!had to laugh at the unused stamp set horror, I can totally logicalise that for you - brought for the season but you didn’t have time after it arrived for that season, so you’ve been saving it for the next or next or next season where you’ll have more time in advance because you know you’ve got the set already! Ta na. True too! Good luck on Saturday, the forecast is pretty horrible.
Those quotes are so apt for your page. I recognised the one from Macbeth immediately. It was the English lit reading for an entire year at school oh so many years ago! It's good to see you doing so much stamping again - your wrist must be on the mend. Fingers crossed Saturday is dry for you. Hugs, Elizabeth x #10
Great journal page how's the wrist doing? Yes totally agree about the light in the House, such a lovely blue. Hugs Bj#13
Such a lovely page - you never cease to amaze me in the way you layer stuff up and produce such a gem. I know if I tried it would just be a mess. All very clever. Hope your wrist is improving.x x Jo π
