WOYWW 906

It was somewhat comforting to see so much love for Sarah on last week's desks and since then reading the comments on the post made on Facebook by her family.  I am glad they know how much we all loved her.   We are back at Julia's for WOYWW now as she has agreed to take it on again permanently - welcome back!

In an attempt to get back to "normal"  I started a couple of journal pages at the weekend.  I was having a good day wrist-wise on Sunday and didn't need any support on it whilst crafting (mainly so I didn't get paint all over the tubi-grip support which is all I have needed for most of the time now. (I do still use a splint when i am travelling but really only to stop it getting knocked on transport.)

I made a right mess of the colours on the background, really didn't like where they were going but placing the cut out images on top hid a multitude of mess!

I had the stamped images from months ago when I was testing all my versaclair inks
the background on this one wasn't much better but wanted something vaguely face coloured (ha ha) to put behind the tissue images (also stamped from months ago)

I didn't link Kew last week because we were posting for Sarah but did go that last week and the most recent Saturday too so linking that one today.

the early entries have sadly ended till May so we have to queue up with the "general public" horror of horrors lol.

it was the most glorious autumn day so I hope you enjoy the colours.

Happy WOYWW all.

I didn't have Sarah on FB, but glad to hear you've found comfort reading the comments on her page. I'm also glad to hear you continue to heal. I really like that face with the face portraits, and that beautiful pink shade. Peace!

Great news about your wrist, so good to hear you can craft without any splints or support, hooray, onwards and upwards! I like the faces page, that works really well. Still seems odd without Sarah but it was so good to read all the tributes.

Nature is wonderful - bodies heal - thank goodness your wrist is getting better and more comfy for you. AND oh my goodness Kew certainly shows us how life goes on no matter what happens! The photos of trees, birds, fungi etc are stunning and that. blue sky is uplifting.x x Jo 🌈

Oh there we go again I see your journal pages and really like them and then read your comments and wonder why you're not so pleased with the backgrounds. I especially like the first one with the red/cerise leaves on top it gives it lots of depth. Glad to hear the wrist is so much better, shame about the Kew hours though. Hugs Bj#9

I like the pages, the red and yellow looks good and works well, but then I don't know what you hid behind the images!! The faces are great too. Sorry to hear you've had wrist damage, but glad it's healing well.
Happy WOYWW, hope you have a great week,

I don’t blame you for wearing the splint in travel - it must feel quite vulnerable without it in a crowd. Funny how you perceive your own work, I think the stems are perfect for the background and it doesn’t look overworked at all. So glad your wrist is allowing you some crafting, a necessary mind rest in the last ten days huh. Xx

Hello Helen πŸ«‚✨️ good idea to wear the splint when you're out and about ... keeps it safe!
I'm loving the splashes of colour on your journal pages πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ§‘ really enjoying the faces on your second one ... I think we're our own worst critics 🀦‍♀️ I don't see what you see ✨️ I see gorgeous light in both of them 🧑✨️πŸ’– the vines 🌿 work beautifully against the background πŸ₯°πŸ˜˜πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ§‘

It’s good to see you crafting and I like your journal pages.
I wore a sling too on public transport- you don’t want it to get knocked. What a wonderful place to do your physio! The autumn colours are glorious and I love the Henry by the exit.
Happy WOYWW

So glad to hear your wrist is getting there. It's amazing how we heal isn't it. I bet the colours at Kew are stunning and will only get better as autumn progresses. I saw on the news how they are emptying the glass house to renovate it, what a job that'll be. Happy WOYWW

Happy post-knitting WOYWW catch-up
Yes, glad to hear the healing is continuing. What a relief. I love those stamps too and they work well with your background, even if it isn't your fave. Seems odd not seeing Kew, but I'm sure you'll get back to those soon.

Great pages, I love those leaf stamps! Good thing you had some already stamped and cut out, the faces too! I'm amazed that you are getting any crafting done with the limitations you have right now, good for you! Your Kew photos are lovely, nice to see that "English" fall looks a lot like Canadian fall! Love the swans, of course. Our migrating swans have come back and are swimming in the various bays that I drive past everyday, so nice to see them all! πŸ‚Lindart #16
