Hello and happy WOYWW-day... time to bare all (desk wise) once again...
The best day of the week... Desk day and half way to the weekend!!
so, as I showed in the previous post (here) I went to Stamperama on Sunday in Stevenage, and boy, did my cards get a workout!
two piles of goodies, as they don't all fit in one!
Stencils, paints, inks, twines, infusions..
and stamps, laces, chipboard, flowers, a couple of dies...
Luvvly Jubbly!
and just in case you think I've bought all these new goodies for nothing - I am using them already!
another background in the journal, which may or may not be finished, it might get a focal image yet!
(stamps by Lin Brown for Paperartsy) Inks are Ranger archival in shades of bluey-green
the link for the desks, should you need it, is here
The increasingly inky and painty ramblings of a stampaholic, whilst kneeling on the floor. Yes, my knees do protest!

Stamperama show, Stevenage - today
Hi all, just got home from Stevenage with some goodies (ahem!) from the show.
It was busy to start with but by 2ish had practically emptied... but we had a good time and met a few Twits (though not as many as sometimes sadly) I didn't take as many photos as usual, either..
an early cuppa and sit down.. Karen, Jo, Lewis (Caz's son) (man in purple no idea!) Miriam, Caz and Lin
bit later we had another sit down.. only there weren't enough chairs so I took up my normal crafting position..
you get a different view down here!
but then I got a chair!
Paperartsy was busy all day... no pics of the stand as there are new releases for the trade show next week, that we can't share with you yet..
Lin, rocking the short hair!
stash (1)
stash (2)
there is another one but I can't show that!
There were only 20 stalls there today, lots fewer than normal, and like I say by about 2 it had got quite empty (which did mean you could get in to look at the stock nicely!)
Looking forward to playing with some of this soon, but probably not today!

Stamperama show in Stevenage - today
Don't talk to me about replacement bus services on Sundays when Network Rail work on the lines... the journey home was a doddle, the one to London a complete nightmare... however I made it in time for the show and met up with a group of PAtwits...
Oh, and a little shopping may have been done....
of course the first stop is Paperartsy.. Lin and Emma were demoing and Lauren running make and takes.
the stand was looking fab as usual (lots of new stamps!)
popped off to That's Crafty to see Alison (Craftytrog) and
Helen demoing - Alison with Deco Art and Helen with Pebeo iridescent paints ...oh my!
lunchtime Twit meet - me, Linda (so nice to finally get to meet Linda after years of blogging/tweeting), Alison and Jo
Lin, Miriam and Caz
Jo Linda and Alison again
Julie Ann, her friend who's name I didn't catch, sorry! and Lucy (sorry, caught you mid chewing Lucy!)
hmm bit of an odd face I'm pulling too!
back to Paperartsy where Miriam was Periscoping...
back at That's Crafty, some of Alison's fab backgrounds
and demonstrating the Deco Art Tinting Base
back to Paperarsty (we did look round the rest of the show, honest!) Emma is hard at work stencilling with archival inks and loving her purple circles!
Caz was there too, looking fab in purple (hair too)
more scoping..
saying farewells...
Julie Hickey popped by to see Linda's new stamps (shhh!)
shopping.. sorry about the shadow... can't show you Lin's new stamps, till they're official!! so they're hiding ad the back... lots of stencils and Emma's news stamps released yesterday...
and yes, I got the iridescent paints...(show offer price, would have been silly not to!)

some dinky stencils, acrylic tags and atcs, Carabelle stamp, a lovely tree (lost coast design) and some cute birds (Katzelcraft)
now just need time to play!

Port Sunny - Happy Stampers
You probably already know, if you've seen my friend Sam's post yesterday (she took her laptop!) that my secret trip this weekend was to Port Sunlight and the craft show known as Happy Stampers. The post on the "photosbyh" blog, the pictures of Port Sunlight itself, is here. This though, is the crafty bit!
Several months ago, we (Sam, Lin Emma and I) decided that we'd try and get tickets for this show as everyone who talks about it, says it's fabulous... you have to get tickets in advance, and they're limited, so it was a bit stressful - till I met Chris at the WOYWW crop in May who said she was already on the mailing list so is able to order tickets as soon as they're released.... phew... just the trains to book then, as Sam had in January found a great hotel yards from the venue.... sorted!
Friday saw us heading from our various starting points, to Liverpool Lime Street station... (cue visit to t'other blog for the photos)
Saturday morning was wet, but by the time the show started, dry... off we headed.
The reason we wanted to keep it secret was to surprise fellow #PAtwits Lin and Christine; which we did, you could hear the screams of delight miles away!
Sam, Emma, Lin, Chris and Lin
swap Lin at the end for me...
Sam, Lin, Chris (who got us the tickets) Lin, Chris and Leandra
We also met Massofhair and Keren and Sarah Anderson who's blog I've followed for ages (another ticket enabler if we'd needed her!) but I didn't get any pictures! (Edit - also turns out I met Elizabeth from the DragonsDream Team I'm on,only she thought I was Julie Ann... nice almost meeting you too, Elizabeth!)
Towards the end of the show we congregated back at Paperartsy to say our farewells - when you stand this side of the PA stand you tend to end up...
demoing!! Emma's trying out the fabulous Fibralo pens
and having a laugh with Lin.
This is PA's Emma elf who had stepped away momentarily - caught her mid chocolate!
some last minute buying from Lin but Mark seems more keen on the rugby updates...
and my purchases. Not much, as I have only just been to Ally Pally, but enough, and you have to don't you?!
Thanks for a great weekend girls, lets do it again sometime somwhere!

Ally Pally - day two... you know I said I wasn't spending????
Best laid plans of mice and men... it had to be done! "found" a few extra goodies I needed today, on day 2 of Ally Pally...
the lovely Lin Brown was there today demo'ing with Leandra as Mark was at the trade show and JoFY has gone to the Handmade Fair at Hampton Court (may give that a go next year!)
Here are some of Lin's gorgeous backgrounds
just scrummy aren't they?
Cazz was there too today, lovely to see you again.
we had the obligatory #patwit group shot, although Cazz had disappeared! Millie, Leandra's daughter was there again today, manning the tills with Karen this time
L-R, Millie, Leandra, Lucy, Lin and Lin, with Julie Ann and Alison in front.
I also met Cindy, a fellow WOYWWer who was there today, and seemed to be having fun every time I bumped into her.
more of Lin's masterwork
and - erm... a "little" pile of new goodies...some of them were bargains, honestly!!
