WOYWW 852

Happy WOYWW deskers.  October... really??  I know we say it all the time, but...  head to Sarah's for the link up.

So last  week saw heartbreak for Julia's husband Bart losing his business premises to fire. our hearts go out to both of you Julia.  There is nothing we can say that will make things better but we love you lots and are here for you.

I didn't use the 4 inch tags I shared on last week's post, I decided they hid too much of the background so did the same thing on some 2 inch tags
I used some transparency figures on each of the tags

the scripty text is a Paperartsy mini stamp from about 100 years ago... ish!  I used an ink pad as close as I could get to the painty background

I had intended to offset the tags at an angle but couldn't decide whether to have the figures standing as they should or angled, so in the end I put the tags on straight!

the words are from one of the very early packs of Dina's collage tissue with white on black words for a change.

the last 8am entry at Kew (till next May)  was fabulous, the weather was perfect and the light amazing.

Thanks for visiting, hope to see you soon.

So glad you decided not to cover so much of the super background, great page and fabulous Kew photos. Only just hearing the sad news today. Hugs BJ#9

I really like the tags and am glad you went with the upright figures, angled would have set my OCD off big time, lol! And hooray fro using up 100 year old stash too, win win. Thanks so much for contributing to the Julia’s flowers and cream tea, I hope they’ll help a bit.

I now own a tag, and the transparencies are so clever! Thank you Helen, your card , as with the flowers, arrived at just the right time, we were making lists and it really was an excellent reminder; your support is priceless to us.

Straight or angled is always a question I struggle with! I approve of your choice :D That yellow flower is stunningly "posed!" Yes the news was shocking, wasn't it? I wish I could do more. Stay safe, all.

The tags look great, you wouldn't want to hide that gorgeous colour. I've got loads of tags that I'm not even sure where from, maybe I should do something with them. Thanks for the ideas. Hugs Angela x12x
