WOYWW 843

Hello and happy WOYWW deskers.  Sarah has the link to join in and share your craft spaces..

I was in card making mode at the weekend as I have some birthdays and a wedding anniversary to make for.

I am obsessed withe the coneflower stamps by Alison Bomber... I think I even prefer them to her poppies!

despite the fact that I don't like fussy cutting, I made lots of extras to keep me going for a while!

i had some leftover background that I repurposed from a few weeks ago.

I was about to spoil the surprise with the final birthday card... that'll have to wait!

Kew on Saturday was dry after the previous soaking, luckily!

Goldie came out to play

a new area - the Carbon Garden - has opened.

we loved this mushroom in the centre.

Thanks for looking,and  happy WOYWW

Wow Helen, is that mushroom fabulous or what? Great photo.
I love your cards, especially the first one, it has a freshness about it. The background is so subtle and looks fabulous with the flowers which I must admit are perhaps nicer than the poppies. My favourite flower is the poppy.
Have a good week and fabulous weekend.

I know it hasn't been that long since it was warm/hot and dry and I know we need the rain, but I'm missing the sunny days! Spent yesterday in Salisbury and it just rained and rained...that light drizzle that soaks into every crevice and makes your hair wild. Lovely. Have to agree about the coneflowers (had to go look at the Poppies) but then I'm a bit stuck by the symbolism of the apoppy and so tend not to use them anyway. Nice cards, that blue background really makes the flowers pop. Made me laugh that you've cut out a supply to keep you going, now you just need to put them somewhere 'special' that won't cause masses of finding!!

That’s one enormous mushroom!! Great pics from Kew, I guess the flowers are transitioning in late summer/early autumn colours now. Dahlia time in fact - I never used to like them but now really love the mad pop of colour you get! Great cornflower stamps, I can see why you’re loving using that, fab cards!

Love the latest cards and that you cut excess so you have them ready for the next ones…I’d lose them first lol. Love that huge mushroom at Kew.

Those cone flowers are fab and look just right on the backgrounds. What a colourful bird - some sort of Asian pheasant? x x Jo 🌈

Lovely cards, Helen. The cone flower stamps are beautiful though they do look tricky to fussy cut. The mushroom i the Carbon Garden is really impressive and the photo of Goldie is fabulous! Have a great week. Elizabeth x #14
