Simon Says - S is for Summer

It is an absolute age since I managed to join in with a Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge... this week the  challenge is "S"  - which is a pretty free rein.  Anything that starts with S...

I went for a page in my journal and started by 'Stencilling' archival inks to fill the page
I used aquamarine, 'Saffron' and vermillion. To blend the flowers into the background, I painted over the page with a watered down wash of Paperartsy Fresco paint in Honeydew (already a very pale yellowy colour) so I could 'Stamp' over the top.

I used my favourite Paperartsy 'Stamps' by Jo Firth-Young

and coloured them with distress markers.

Hope you like my 'Summer' page!  As the quote says, "take time to smell the flowers".

Thanks to Simon Says as they are offering one random winner a $50 gift voucher.
