Darcy inspired "wallpaper"

The lovely Darcy wowed us all at Paperartsy last week with a simply stunning - no other word for it - project where she decorated a wooden house and made it into a house of books.. With the WOYWW crop I knew there would be no way I could do anything so elaborate in the time but I took the idea for the wallpaper/books and made a cover for a Moleskine journal. (and thanks to Kirsten for giving me the idea for this use of the paper!

this is the end result - I have some step by step pictures but do check out Darcy's posts for Paperartsy (and the video) for full details, as it is all her idea.
Rather than colours of Fresco paints I scribbled the names of Liverpool players and managers - all legends!

I was working in a tiny space....

Thanks SO much Darcy for this fabulous week of projects, I have loved every one and am so glad I got this last minute chance to play again!!

Now, got to clean up some paint....

  2. Wow looks great, did you have fun? I love making layered backing paper there is just something about all that inky messiness that draws me in.

Love your end piece, works brilliantly as a book cover, did writing the names help get past the ' omg big sheet of paper fear' ? People worry about messing up journals, this is a great way to get started.

    Thanks for joining in. X
