WOYWW 877

And whizz.. it's Wednesday again,  WOYWW day. Head to Sarah's for the link and share your crafty space.

I added some more faces (transparencies) to this journal page and used a sheet from what I think is the very first collage tissue pack from Dina,  and cut out the words individually - mainly because I didn't want to keep it in one big piece and hide all the faces!

I used some more transparency faces on the facing page,  but haven't added anything more to this page yet.
then I took to my smaller watercolour journal and some distress oxide inks, and the edge of a credit card to make some marks,
then added some Seth mini stamps

Yet to decide on a focal point (possibly too much background stamping in the darker ink) so may add some more colour to knock them back before adding a focal point)

the bloody boiler conked out again overnight Friday so I had to arrange for B Gas to come back and re-light the pilot light on Monday.

for now it's stayed lit (I still think it was the workers in the street who must have turned the gas off again to me when they fixed downstairs...but can't prove it)

I have bitten the bullet and booked a call for a quote for a new boiler...

I did manage to enjoy Kew on Saturday - the weather was gorgeous

sunny daffodils
silky Pasqueflowers
cherry (or plum) blossom

Can't quite believe this is the last Wednesday in March - next week is April...

thanks for dropping by, I will be round soon. Happy WOYWW

Bet you're fed up with the boiler though it's probably better that it goes now rather than the middle of winter. Stay positive you'll have a lovely new one before the cold weather is back again. Happy woyww, Angela x9x

What a pain about the boiler, sounds like a new one is going to be the answer. The pages are so different but all good, the text works really well. Look at those glorious flowers, hooray for Spring coming!

Boiler failures are so annoying 🤞🏻🤞🏻it lasts till your new one comes.
Your journal pages are lovely and your Kew photos gorgeous as ever. There’s a blue flower under a caption saying ‘Top of the Leaf spirit’ is that the bush’s name? Thanks

The month has flown by. School holidays next week so I will have Ben for a couple of days.😀 You've been busy with your journal pages but I do hope your boiler behaved itself. It's too chilly to manage without this week.x x Jo 🌈

Happy WOYWW. Hope the boiler quote isn't too painful. It is so cold again - got the heating on during the day when we are both in (although that isn't often!). Beautiful photos from Kew. We had our village gardening club meeting yesterday and the speaker brought in lots of examples of scented bulbs. Never seen so many different types of Narcissi. Ali x #15

Bloody boiler indeed, what a pain….we’ve had the same this week and it’s much easier for us because I can be at home without losing time or holiday, am sorry for you. Specially as it’s freezing again! Kew starting to put on its finery, blossom is very cheering isn’t it. I don’t think the page with the credit card lines needs knocking back, I think it just needs a strong something as a fore. But what do I know about layering and collating…pretty much nothing! Xx

Hope your heating is repaired soon! We don't have a boiler, we have a furnace, I'm assuming they do the same thing-heat the house. We had to replace ours a couple of years ago. AC comes with it, do get AC? Good job on the jpurna; pages! I love using transparent papers for words, then you can move them around until you get it right! Gorgeous Kew flowers, something to look forward to here! Have a Great week🌸Lindart

Happy (late, but not too late!) WOYWW! Ugh - boilers. Getting the plumber to come is also a hassle, and after almost-Spring, it's cold again! Loving the journal pages, so many! You know me, I love me some dots so that's my fave. Seeing blooming daffs makes me hope proper Spring weather is coming soon.

Oooo Love all the faces you use in your journaling and the CC marks are brill. Sorry to hear about the boiler - We use GMH for our gas, it's a local company and they fitted our last boiler and come and do an annual service for us, might be worth a quote from them https://www.gmhltd.co.uk/ defo recommend them. Super Kew photos. Wondered if anyone had noticed the apron - I went to one of his half days in Coventry back in 2012 - gosh that was a long time ago!!! Hugs Bj#4
