Welcome back deskers, it's time for WOYWW again, now with the lovely Sarah at the helm.
I carried on with the journal page using the Mattints... Jan wanted to know a bit more about them. they are not paints, but water based transparent glazes with colour added. You can use them like paints, you can use them to seal things, you can use them as adhesive. (not tried that bit yet but Paperartsy have) You can blend the colours together (there are 12 so far, and I think one more set of 4 to come)
that's where it's got to. It will at some stage have a focal point on it
I went shopping again too, Dina had some more new releases.
I ordered them (from Art From the Heart) and thought - oh that'll go through the letterbox, send them to home not work...
err.. maybe not as it happens
Luckily on Tuesday they tried again and left the box tucked behind one of the wheelie bins by the front door.
this is what was in it... I thought... tags, stencils, they're flat, they'll put them in a jiffy bag and bingo, through the letterbox!
so I've not had time to play yet...
Kew on Saturday was overcast but not cold, and Kim and I found some colour still...
gotta love some trees in autumn!
and some mushrooms!

Love the trees in autumn and I love those shrooms too. Apart from an inky spot I never seem to find unusual ones so love it when someone uploads one to the computer.
Wow, that fame in a big big box, good job it was safe behind the bin. Too many goodies to go missing.

My god woman! where do you put it all??? But no one could ever accuse you of not using what you buy, that's for sure. The tree is stunning but gosh that background is really lovely too and I appreciate seeing all the layers.

I've no room to talk but your house must be full of stuff! I'm thinking of taking some of my old C.stamps to the craft club this month to sell or give away as it's all doing my head in at the moment and I decided if you haven't used it for years, let it go so we'll see. Those mattints are clever stuff eh? Very useful in many ways, it’ll be interesting to see if they remain a go-to for you in the future. They made for an effective background, that’s for certain! Hooray for a second delivery full of useful new stash, the stencils are particularly lovely as are the pics from Kew, amazing colours on the tree and fabulous fungi too!

I love the effects of the Mattints - I've never heard of them but they are something I'm definitely going to investigate - I like the subtle shades you are getting with them and they sound very versatile. Gorgeous tree - what a colour!

I have some Mattints but have yet to use them in earnest. Maybe you have inspired me! I love it when the trees start to change colour.

Your journal pages are looking good - I’d not heard of mattint, and I’m glad your new supplies were eventually ‘safely’ delivered. I swear some of them use a vaguely targeted trebuchet! I loved your Kew photos, with all the autumn colours. Our apricot didn’t fruit either this year.

Isn't it frustrating when the packaging is way bigger than it really needs to be - seems such a waste, but I suppose they really want to ensure that no harm comes to the products.. I look forward to seeing what you do with them.
Ooooh! new toys! I love the round stencils, especially the one with the rays, And mushrooms! Awesome! Lots of fun to be had! Our leaves are turning here as well, we are having a beautiful year with lots of vibrant reds and oranges. Have a great week, Lindart #14
ooh yes you'd think they would come in a jiffy bag, BUT those stencils look interesting (this is why we know you as "The Enabler) :0) Not seen the colour tints before, interesting to be able to use as a glue too.....
