WOYWW 799

I don't know where the weeks go -  but here we are, another Wednesday, week 799 of WOYWW    New host Sarah has the link for you to join in.

I hope you've all had a creative week... not so here!

I added some more layers to a journal page I started weeks ago
stencilling and drips and collage tissue.  not necessarily in that order!

Paperartsy are halfway through new release week so if I don't resist there may be new goodies next week...

Last Saturday saw the penultimate early entry to Kew so Kim and I made the most of it  but it was a bit dull after the previous sunny week!

these are some of my favourite little aster-type flowers.  such a delicate purple-blue colour.

and the porcelain berries are starting to develop.

Thanks for looking, and I'll be round to visit soon  Happy WOYWW.!

  1. Ooh Helen, I love the porcelain berries, what gorgeous colours. And talking of colour, I love your journal page which I think is finished now. Knowing you and how very good you are at journaling it could well still have room for something else but I think even you will call this one 'finished'.

  2. Those berries are gorgeous! I've never seen berries that colour.
Lovely journal page. Again, beautiful colours. I must remember that combination of turquoise with the dark yellow. I like it. I wear a lot of turquoise, so here is a new colour match for me to experiment with.

  3. Wow. Those berries! How wonderful and colourful. Love the page too, and especially how you come back to them over time. Me? I try to finish in one session, not always the best plan :D
A quick hop before knitting at mine!
    Happy WOYWW.

  4. Hi Helen, your journal page is looking good. I don't quite know why but it's reminding me of the early Avengers television series. The Kew photos do suggest the end to summer and start of autumn. Those berries are amazing. Have a great weekend at Kew, despite the later start. Hugs, Elizabeth x #8

  6. Lots of gorgeous colour on your blog this week from your fab page to those beautiful berries, which I’d never heard of before. I like the sentiment you’ve used too, I quite like to plough my own furrow!

  7. Hi Helen! Your art journal page reminds me of Tales of the Unexpected this week. It's been a long time since I've thought of that!

The Kew photos are great as always - I'd not heard of Porcelain Berries - what plant are they from, please?

  11. Oh my word those berries don't look real. Reminds me of standing outside school waiting for the bus when I was 13yrs and looking up into the yew trees which lined the street and seeing the red berries with their seeds within and being convinced someone had come along and pushed red beads onto the branches! Oh the innocence of youth! Loving your journal page, love the layers and the sentiments and how the yellow figure pops out of the background. Hugs BJ#11

  16. The berries are very cool! I've never seen these before! They would be cool on a card or journal page! I am also enticed by someone I follow who has a new release of stencils (Meghan Quinlan), she is in the States, so to make shipping worth it, and the exchange, I have to order at least $100 worth! I am very tempted...I like the drips on your journal page! Will we both give in to temptation?? LOL! Have a great week, Lindart #17

  17. Love that page Helen. Sorry to be so late visiting this week but I had great difficulty getting my computer to link up with the internet on Wednesday and a busy week at work. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW memories next week.
