WOYWW 691 - a (very) brief moment of fame

Once more we meet for WOYWW with Julia and the deskers

I'l l start with my desk - floor -

despite having a Bank Holiday weekend and an extra day,  I didn't spend any time crafting...

I took this waiting for the Channel 5 programme about Kew to start...

I sat poised with my phone to capture my moment of fame...good job you can rewind live TV these days -  I kept missing it -

At the front of the queue, (in the blue hat)  posting to Facebook no doubt!
and then they finally got to the bit about the orchids (there was some earlier stuff about the building of the display which was really interesting)  but I really can't believe they got me to sign a release agreement for this!

good job I'd taken my hat off inside in the heat or you'd probably not know it was me...

and then last weekend at Kew - quite a bit warmer than in February!!

  2. I didn't see the one with your hat on but I caught your other shot. Probably because I was not expecting to see you - will go back and watch again on catch up.
Why no crafting on a day extra off? You totally surprise me as I always think of you crafting away, especially in your journals which you do so well.
Have a good week and thanks for linking me last week.
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  4. Morning Helen. I saw you... not at the beginning of the queue, but inside the orchid house. My daughter had got us tickets to go to the orchid exhibition... but Kew was closed because of the storm on the day we were due. Never mind... maybe another opportunity will present itself!
    Take care. God bless.

  8. Congratulations on your minute of fame. I knew it was coming from what you said on your photo blog, but since I don't get it in the states, I'm glad you shared it. The Orchid Festival seems SO long ago, now.

  12. So cool that you were on TV! I accidentally commented on your previous post, so was hoping that you would capture yourself on telly - and here it is! You should get free lifetime access to the place now - you practically live there LOL! Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #19

  16. An Extra day!? I feel like I've lost a day! great pictures, I remember setting the video to come on, while we were at The Horse of The Year Show years back, and yes, as the cameras spun slowing round following the show jumpers, we saw ourselves on the telly...I spec that video is in land fill now! Have a great week! Happy Late WOYWW!? ((Lyn)) #23 last again!

  17. Brilliant clear footage of you Helen, did you actually pose for it or did they take the film and then ask you? Very exciting and yes, seems a bit strange seeing you bundled into your duvet coat! I’ve had a good look at your floor space and decided that the chances of you getting up onto a desk a bit high at this point….! It’s going to be one of those move everything out first jobs. I hate those!

  18. Isn't it fun to be a part of a program like that! My hubby was in a movie once - blink and you've missed him, but it was fun! At least you are on camera long enough to be recognised! Regarding falling of the rocks at NS - no chance of that for me! But I was watching people posing for Instagram photos and holding my breath...it wouldn't take much to slip and fall...Have a great week, thanks for your visit, Lindart #22

  20. Love the screen shot of you taking a photo next to the orchids, that epitomises you completely, love it. I guess they have to cover all bases as some people have to stay away from all media for safety reasons. Sorry I am so late, life has been ridiculous this week. BJ#8
