I haven't finished either of last week's pages but have filled the remaining couple in the journal... not finished of course!
there is more colour on the page than the photo will allow me to share, it's not so gappy!
I used some yellow shades of distress oxide and a green too (the nice bright twisted citron)
I stamped some images in yellow and green archival ink and then disaster!
so wonky stamping in grey it had to be!
I used the end of one of the masterboards I had a few weeks ago and some Dina Wakley figures
so I abandoned that page for now...
I used a large stencil (Carabelle studio) and some modelling paste
then added some oxide sprays... some of which (another schoolboy error, I hadn't gesso'd the page first) bled through back to the yellow page... luckily not too bad - it's the violet colour bottom left that is most to blame)
haven't quite decided how to carry on with this page
but this is my thinking thus far...
I do like the Dina Wakley figures!
there will be new stamps to show you next week, they are being despatched as we speak!

Two very different pages including the same DW figures (they remind me of Antony Gormley sculptures) I'm glad you went on to the second it works really well!

How very frustrating and irritating for you when the stamp fell off! However, it fell in the right direction because it actually looks pretty good! Sometimes the best things come about by accident! Great pages. The floral one is very pretty with the different colours and the figure stamps look great. I hope you will share that page with us when it’s finished. I love the “aerial” view of your “desk” Helen - it never ceases to amaze me that you can craft on the floor. On the rare occasions when I am forced to (cutting out fabric) I can scarcely get up again!!! I really like to stand when crafting but that’s not possible either!

With sections of script on a background I think wonky script can look intentional and this time it looks right. Love how you finished it with those figures. Nothing more is needed.

No amount of washing in hot soapy water restores the cling to some of my ‘cling’ stamps. I appreciate the efficiency of space and blah blah blah, but I never have to use tape on my wood mounts!! You knew that would set me off, didn’t you! All that said, the slightly off straight text looks perfectly deliberate and hey, you’ve a right old moan to write about if you ever journal on the page!! I’m with you on the figures, I really like what you do with them. Love that overhead shot...all those bottles standing to attention. Jealous but smiling!!

The pages look great and I do like the stamped image. nothing worse then when stamps loose their grip and slip off.

Your pages are looking great, Helen. I love the citrusy one. I really need more oxide colours, I tend to stick to my favourite few instead of experimenting more.

It's funny how the 'mistakes' that bug us often don't even register with anyone else. I really like the way the script meanders across the page - like overheard snippets from the strolling figures, who appear deep in conversation to me.
Golly, it's been way too long... I'll be doing some gradual catching up over the next few days. I love that golden yellow page, and the Dina figures look fabulous against it. I quite like the wonky script - it has a jaunty look to it which is great with the cheerful yellow. Great textured stencilling too (it's usually red which misbehaves for me... maybe another reason I don't use it very often!) and I agree that it might just have to be another silhouette for the next step. Looks very cool.
