WOYWW 449 still creating

start as I mean to go on... this year I WILL make art!
But first, it's Wednesday, so it's WOYWW  - time to share and bare all on our workspaces.  Head to Julia's for the link.

My last order from Country View's advent event came, it was photographed before being (part of it) put away... my stencils have a home, the rest doesn't!
a set of Tim's layering stencils, a pot of Finnabair's wax, in a pretty pinky colour; and some blueish glass glitter.   You can tell I had mixed media projects on my mind...
some of you saw in the post just before this one (I know, I blogged a non WOYWW post!) a journal page I did last week for a Facebook challenge - so on my floor today, is the start of this week's (top left of the 3) another page in progress on the right, and another new journal that I started - because obviously having just 2 I'm working on, isn't enough...
close up of the bottom square page... I used the stencil on a birthday card and liked the effect so much had to re-create it in journal form - the stencil is 6x6 so smaller than the journal, so I started with the middle and then filled in round it.

the stamps are by Dina Wakley.

I have another challenge - well a series of prompts - that a group of my friends are setting ourselves to get us crafting again - that needs to be commenced, so I must away!!

Catch you at a desk near you soon.

  3. I love that background, Helen - such vibrant colour. The pattern reminds me of a carpet we used to have whe I was little! I wish I could have started this year with art as well, but just not possible at the moment, sadly.

  4. So love what you've done with that stencil, love the colours and wouldn't have known it was smaller than the page, just thought that was the effect you wanted. Happy New Year BJ#10

  5. Good idea to have a kind of challenge with friends to get you crafting again - that is how Wendy and I started our Thursday journal challenge. Just the two of us, but it is a commitment.
The journal page you show us has given me an idea for something - love your page.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  8. Hi Helen. That was a lovely spread. It's interesting because you do your journal pages the other way round to me. I like to play with the products to test them out and then use them on the cards or canvas which is probably why no one gets to see my journals very often Lol! Nice new goodies too, I think I may have some waiting for me...whoops, giving away secrets there! Have a great woyww, Angela x13x

  10. How lovely to see you in full crafting flow! Isn't it weird how your crafty mojo can disappear for ages and then just resurface. The stencil is great and I like your bright background colours - the two journals will be full before you know it!

  15. Hi Helen, oh that is a smart idea to recreate them in a journal. ( some times I wish I had done duplicate cards but, I hardly ever do that) so, I think that is brilliant. ~Stacy #27

  16. Thank you for your visit, Helen - and yes, making the service sheet was pretty creative, I suppose! And I've been doing some cooking, which is creative and therapeutic, so it hasn't all been hard graft.

  27. Sorry I’m late. Love the colours through the stencil in the journal, and. Love that you’re all fired up and working on more than one thing at once plus challenge prompts, blimey...you’ll be having mojo overload, how exciting! The other thing that struck me about your post is that you’ve bought some glass glitter. It’s wonderful stuff and how long has it been around...love that these things are finding a life in the hands of you mixed media gals.
