Craft Barn Alpha Dictionary - J

I was away last weekend when the  latest letter was announced for the Craft Barn  Dictionary challenge, so have only just had time to get it sorted... J this time... J is for Jigsaw..

As kids we used to love doing jigsaws and it lasted with my parents for ever - they had hundreds when we came to clear out the house. I have fond memories of doing them with my Dad especially, late nights to finish them off!  So it had to be jigsaw for me.

I started by painting the dictionary page with Squid Ink Fresco paint, and overlaying with a nearly dry brush of Moonlight as it was too dark

Took my Dylusion alphabet stamp to stamp out my word,  and some chipboard jigsaw pieces I've had in my stash for ages.
I painted them with Moonlight and stamped Darcy's heart (Paperartsy stamp) on both pieces, colouring the heart with Eggplant.

I also had some weeny jigsaw pieces I bought years - and years !! - ago, which I also glued on to the page.

Sorry the photos are a bit blurry, not sure what's wrong with my camera today!

Now off to finish tidying up before my hairdresser arrives!

  1. What a great word to choose, especially for the memories it evokes for you Helen. Darcy's heart looks fab and I love that Dylusions word stamp.

  4. I know this copy/pasty business must be getting boring, but at least that way I can get to my fav blogs for a nose, say hello and have a good weekend.
