Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - U

Week 12 sees us on the U page in our dictionaries for the Craft Barn challenge

Now I am so glad I didn't use "fish" for my F letter recently - because I can use them on my "underwater" page.

I decided to work on watercolour paper and then stick it into my dictionary, cutting out the definition of course.

I used distress stains to create the sea, and a mixture of archival inks for the fishes, and some distress markers to colour the smaller ones.

I stamped some reeds (Stampscapes) in olive archival and stencilled some seaweed (from the crafters workshop with fish on) in moved lawn distress ink.  Added some white highlights with a Sharpie.

I should have photographed it flat before I stuck it into the dictionary, as it has proved quite hard to do now!!

Look forward to seeing what other U's there are this fortnight.

  10. Hi Helen - I had trouble photographing my U page too! - It kept wanting to close because of the weight of the rest of the book behind it - and it wouldn't work on the easel I usually use either. I love your pages, you could dive right in and scuba along with those fish! MMx
