WOYWW 841

Happy WOYWW lovelies.  Hope you are all well. Another Wednesday so head to Sarah's for the desky-share link

I decided to use the Dina Wakley kraft journal for an Alison Bomber themed page.

Starting with a layer of gesso leaving a bit of a border, then various green archival inks and of of Alison's new stencils
I stamped and fussy cut out several of the coneflowers from her new stamp set

coloured them with Prismacolour pencils

arranged them and added the text stamps from the same set

wow, a finished journal page!!

my Kew buddy Kim and I survived a hot morning at Kew on Saturday by finding as much shade as possible

the giant kardoons are - giant...
the lotus flowers in the Temperate House are a favourite at the moment

it wasn't a day for lying down for low level photography, in white trousers!

Thanks for dropping by, I will be round to check your desks soon

  3. It feels a bit cooler here today so hoping it stays like this for a while. Well done in your trip to Kew, bet that was a scorcher. Love the new journal page and I shall think very carefully about getting out an old journal and using it with some of the new stuff, it makes sense but you know me, too easily distracted. 4. LOL! My thoughts exactly - my summer has been far too busy, far too hot and I am officially fed up. Gorgeous flowers, and lovely trousers too :D

  5. Well, we had a full day of rain yesterday - much needed and the garden soaked it up so thirstily. Today it is lovely and sunny but not too hot.
Love the journal page Helen but cannot believe you sat and fussy cut all those coneflowers out. Well worth it though.
Love that lotus flower, can see why it is a favourite.

  6. Aw, nice set from AB, stencil looks particularly useful, all made for a lovely page. Get you crafting in the heat AND while there's so much sport on! Haven't watched more than five minutes of tennis but we have managed cricket! Thanks so much Hels, for sending a birthday card, how sweet of you to remember and bother, made my day.

  10. Hello Helen, I really like the stamped and coloured flowers you've added to your journal page. You've inspired me. I've been thinking about how I can make better use of my collection of stamps on scrapbook layouts. Your Kew photos are lovely as usual. No matter the colour of my trousers, my days of lying down to take photos have long gone so I'm impressed you even consider it! Hope the weather this weekend is perfect for you. Elizabeth x #15
