WOYWW 840

Welcome fellow deskers another Wednesday has rocked up - time to meet at Sarah's for WOYWW

I was watching the Paperartsy new releases launch on Facebook last week and ... of course - went shopping (I was restrained though, and only got Alison Bomber's new stamps and not the Christmas themed sets... was severely tempted so there is still time!)

there was also a new script bases set of printed tissue which I did go for!
I stamped out the new designs, loving the poppies and the coneflowers,
and did some colouring

the poppies were with the Dina scribble sticks (Jan, they are pigment sticks, so although they look crayon-like they are very blendable )

the coneflowers I used Prismacolour pencils

the thinnish card I used to stamp them on, doesn't take water very well so only blended the poppies, not the others.

Didn't have time or energy for anything else, I did managed to get out and replace my fan - I think I will be needing it in the days to come!

Kew was forecast to be wet but luckily, kindly, the rain held off till Kim and I left around mid-day!

these shaggy looking flowers are some of my Broad Walk favourites in the summer.

there were SO many bees last weekend

hopefully the weather will allow a decent visit before it gets too hot, and also me to do some crafting on Sunday!

Happy WOYWW and see you soon!

  1. Those new stamps are great - I love what you did with them - especially the poppies. Nothing of interest on my desk this week - must try harder for next week.x x Jo 🌈

  2. So sorry you are still suffering with the heat. Hard to believe that it is so windy up here and you are sweltering. Wish I could send you some of our breeze but not in exchange for the heat.
Love Alison's stuff, and, of course, poppies are my favourite flowers. The coneflowers loo lovely too, especially now you have shown them with some colour.

  3. The new stamps are gorgeous and as usual you have stamped with them straight away which is a very sensible thing to do which comes from someone who should learn this and still hasn't, silly me. Pleased you like my clouds too. I am hoping for a cooler day but believe it's going to start getting very hot again. Have a good hopefully cooler woyww, Angela x7x

  4. Love the new poppy stamps and what you've done with them. I hope your new fan makes crafting enjoyable in the up and coming next heatwave.

  5. Your new stash is fab, love the stamps and the printed tissue, you’re going to have a lot of fun with those! Thanks for the scribble stick info, interesting, I’d not heard of those before, they sound great especially if they blend so well. Lovely pics from Kew in the respite before the upcoming high temps again, I’m keeping in the shade!

  7. Really glad you managed to get a new fan as you will surely need it this coming week. I'm already shutting down and have 2 fans on in my room already! Love your new stamps and the Kew version of the yellow ones too but my favourite has to be the script tissue, love it. Hugs BJ#1
