WOYWW 450

Happy Wednesday again, deskers!  That week went fast (again).. it's time for WOYWW again.
Still in a creative buzz at the moment; I really hope I can keep it up!

so there are a mish-mash of things going on
balanced on the tubs of pastes, is this week's journal page for the France Papillon FB challenge,

in the middle of the workspace is an MDF tag that I'm working on (no more info, it's a secret!)

the scraps box just behind the tubs of paste is in serious danger of toppling its scraps everywhere.. I need to sort through that soon

this was a journal page for me I did at the weekend
(full details in the post below this one)

and last week's FB page (two posts down!) which many of you have seen

I am much more comfortable working in journals than on other surfaces at the moment, not sure why that is, I intend to pursue other projects to try and change it... watch this space!

I'd just like to thank the deskers who use Google + for always visiting and leaving comments, when I cannot respond...
to answer Sarah, that stencil you liked so much, by Stencil Girl is called Curves.  it's 6x6.

Hope you all have a good week.

Oh, I nearly forgot to say... I spent part of Sunday throwing out some old magazines (Crafts Beautiful type from 2005/6 ) and stamp catalogues... from 2002/3.. a whole recycling wheelie bin full... the clear out has started!

  1. I too am more comfortable journalling than anything else - maybe when I am with someone else mixed media can take over - but on my own it is journalling.
Love your pages - especially the last two photos.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  4. Oh Helen, I don't know where to start! So I'll begin at the end. Magazine clear out makes me happy as I've been doing that for some time now and taking out pages I thought were worth keeping and filing them. Need to get rid of some Somerset mags. too but not brave enough yet. The journals are gorgeous. Some of mine have been on the go for some time but determined to try and finish more of them just keep getting distracted especially the last two weeks. Loving the tag too. Have a great woyww and thanks for the visit to mine, Angela x14x

  5. Hi there Helen,
Yup, clearing out here needs to be continued, a goal for this year... I hope and pray! Hard isn’t it?
Love your space and your two journal pages. I never journal, I make cards, and cards, and sometimes atcs! That’s it... mind you my style is always changing don’t have any set style, so don’t get bored.
Thanks so much for your great desky share.

  7. Loving your art work Helen and what a fab selection to enjoy today - the tag is looking gorgeous and of course butterflies are always one of my favourites. Love the floral page too - the black layer of flowers at the back works really well and that's an amazing background on the last set of pages - I like the vintage feel.
Well done on starting a clear out - definitely something I should be thinking of doing soon!

  9. Happy WOYWW. I am also loving working in journals - it is so satisfying to flick through them and see them lined up on a shelf. I have bought myself a few cheap canvases to play with this year though. My clearout also continues. There is a lot in my recycling bin this week. Ali x #22

  10. Hi Helen, blimey, I can recall that I used to keep all my crafting magazines I bought too- finally did as you did and recycled them all. Came to the conclusion I was never really likely to go back to them. Love the pages, especially what you've done with the Wildflowers. I have the stamps & dies, must use them. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

  11. I really like your art journal pages! I, too, work best in a journal. I tried working on canvas but I somehow 'block' when I try it... so I stick to my journals then ;) Love from stormy Holland, Marit #22

  15. Love your busy, loaded to the hilt, desk! Awesome! I also really like your last journal page with the man, Tim's cut out figures? I just bought 2 sets of them and I love them! Good for you for going through your mags and getting rid of them, I have so many that I never look at, but they somehow give me comfort just being on the shelf! At some point I will have to through mine as well!

  16. Helen, loving those journal pages! I love to journal, but haven't been so dedicated this past year with it all! I need to get back into it, but I have been dabbling in so many other things lately! I have a scraps bin as well, or two or three! Who needs that many right? But it's like I can't part with the scraps for fear I may need them in a mixed media piece!!! LOL I fear I need to take on your momentum and do some clearing!! Happy Wednesday to you! :) Felicia #31
