a Liesbeth inspired - not a sewing tin - tin!

As hinted at in the previous post, we had a new designer at Paperartsy this week, the talented Liesbeth Fidder whose work is often featured in the Craft Stamper magazine. She caused quite a stir on twitter with her burnt tin - much fun ensued as various #PATWITS tried to out-do each over with the ways they were burning their tins...

Luckily for me (I live in a first floor maisonette with no space for open fires, bonfires or fires in a bucket..) my good friend Lin sent me a spare tin she had burnt in a bucket!!  Which in turn, caused a bit of a stir on twitter because when I was sat at my computer, tweeting, I glanced down at it on my crafty space on the floor, and saw - faces!!  LOOK!!

Some people (naming no names, Hazel) saw meerkats and all sorts... or Collie Dogs holding a tommy gun (Jax).. anyway, what to do with this gorgeous tin??

I'm no seamstress, can barely thread a needle, so don't have the sewing themed stamp plates from Paperartsy... and besides, wanted to do something different to Liesbeth's here so a rummage through the Ink and the Dog and Squiggly Ink plates was called for...

 I decided on a clocks/time theme - used distress inks for the background on my card,

 glued in place and some clock embellies from my stash.

Decided to hide the lid after all!!  I stamped some of the clocks on wax crunchy paper, then crumpled it, highlighted the creases with White Fire treasure gold

The sentiment is from one of the Paperartsy plates, the wooden clock is a Prima one from my stash.
