Pink Butterflies - Crafty Boots Challenge

My lovely friend Emma has set the theme for the latest challenge at Crafty Boots - pink butterflies!  Emma is a pink loving kind of gal!!

I decided to use Tim Holtz stamps in my journal...

I started by blending Vintage Lace and Rusty Rose Paperartsy Fresco paints on my craft mat and then painted the page.  I sponged some Snowflake Fresco paint onto the text background stamp from the "papillon" set and rolled the stamp without using a block, randomly over the page.    Then I took the two butterfly stamps from Tim's sets Urban Chic and Fairytale Frenzy.  I used Magenta Hue archival for the large one, and Picked Raspberry Distress ink for the small butterfly.

The sentiment is by Penny Black, I masked each half off so I could use it in two parts.

Thanks, Emma, this was a fun theme!

  7. Lovely page (even though it's pink - generally I'm with Sam on that!) - and the butterflies and text look just great together on that fab background!
