Craft Barn Altered Dictionary - E

The latest letter chosen by the Craft Barn to alter in their dictionary challenge (check here for all the info) is E.

I was flicking through my dictionary looking for a suitable word that I could choose - and went for EYE.

I started by covering the page - apart from the definition itself, with a watered down wash of Paperartsy Fresco paint in.... Mermaid I think (did it on Sunday and have already forgotten!)

The eyes are from Paperartsy ID08 and stamped on Paperartsy Crackly (tissue paper) and painted Snowflake white on the reverse so they would pop on the page. .

 

Some stencilling (jumble alphabet by Dyan Reaveley) (Faded Jeans distress ink) randomly across the page - I haven't got an eye chart stencil, but this is ok!!  For the second set of eyes, I again stamped on the Crackly paper, just the eyes - layered them behind a piece of sparkly mesh (I couldn't find a wide piece of ribbon) and stamped the text from the eyes stamp, on another piece of Crackly. glued that on top of the mesh.

The stamp top right corner is also by Paperartsy, it's one of the mini's.

 Took some scrabble tile card and cut out the letters E Y E and S. stuck them to the page and drew scribbly lines bordering them.

The larger letters are Tim Holtz Word Play die, cut from Tim's Kraft Resist paper stack, coloured with Chipped Sapphire distress ink.

Finally I added some blue dewdrops the the centres of the E's.
