WOYWW 151

Welcome to another WOYWW. Julia's brainchild where she hosts the desks (and other places) of the world where we make art - sometimes messy (that'll be me then!), sometimes neat (but that won't!).

I have been shopping again, yes so soon after Ally Pally - but they were things I didn't find there, on my list and my good friend Gabrielle agrees with me, that if it's on your list, it doesn't count...
Sorry about the glare from the flash!  The second of Tim's books and some texture fades (which I've already put to good use - see Monday's post)

But they've been put away now, my patch on the floor looks like this - a part done journal page that started as a mop up from the green challenge piece I did on Saturday  that lots of you have already been so kind about
and my part done Altered Book homework (lesson 5) that I don't know if I can link yet - not totally happy with it and haven't even started lesson 6!

Anyhow, I'll let you get on over to Julia's to check out some more desks. Have a good week!

  1. Your list of "must haves" must be extensive. How impressive. And of course, I haven't seen the FIRST book of Tim's, so the second one is even more dicey. Have a super WOYWW and I have to wait to link up to get a number (grin).

  12. What about when you find things that you just have to have that are not on your list or that inspiration just jumps out at you when you are shopping? does that count?.........

I am off to shop tomorrow as I need some retail therapy.

Oh, I love the logic of the shopping list! hee hee Yes, if it's on your list that means you need to get it. I mean, you wrote it down for a reason.

Your journal page is looking great. I have my next journal page gessoed but nothing else. Poor thing.

  40. Hi Helen, I think it must depend on how long your wishlist is, however it is always nice to get new stuff to play with. I think crafters must be naturally acquisitive :)) Enjoy your new goodies. Hope you have a lovely creative week. Elizabeth x #113

  43. Now I like that idea! If it's on the list and you couldn't find it, it doesn't count. remind me to write a list for next Ally Pally ;)

Ooh I'd love to tell you something me and Craig have concocted I think you would be one of the few people who would really approve, it makes me chuckle just thinking about it but again, can't spill till after August! :P

  57. I tried to do that "use it up" challenge going around this year. The goal was to use up your stash items and not buy new stuff. I do believe there was clause that if it was on your wish list it was okay to buy it (so, yes, your friend was right!!!). But I lost sight of that early on in the year. I do try to make a point of pulling out some old stuff to use every couple of weeks so I haven't totally lost sight of the goal. I like your book pages, especially the green and blue one.
