WOYWW 117

Morning all (depending on where you are and when you get here, of course!) Hope you are all well and enjoying your tour of the workdesks of the universe hosted by the delectable Julia

By the time you read this I will be at work as usual - unfortunately! Only because I thought today was the start of a few days off, but I got the week wrong and it's actually from NEXT Wednesday I will be off... Grrrr!!  I was gutted when I realised on Tuesday.

So, what is on my floor today? Not a lot - well, that's a bare faced lie - it's covered with the usual craft stores - but not a lot crafty.  It's been a really unproductive time.  Perhaps I need to go shopping (lol! So far I've kept my pledge not to till Ally Pally - late September... will I make it? )

This really stoopid tag I made for the Everything Wendy Vecchi yahoo group challenge ('use a bottle or bottles') I was close to the deadline and couldn't think of anything 'proper' - was reluctant to use one of my Tim idea-ology bottles/vials - don't know why! so this was a bit of daftness!

Not sure what I will do with my days off - haven't got anything planned (just as well as I got the dates wrong!) - may have a day up in London - not been for a while and I love mooching around London. Just not having to get up at 5.30 and going to work will be break enough!  I don't have a car so I can't go far unless I can get there by bus or train.... or foot!

  1. I would be sick as a parrot if I thought I was going to have a few days off and then realised it was next week... hope the days fly by and you enjoy your leisure time, whatever you decide to do!!

  2. I can relate to getting my week wrong. That happened once when I worked in industry. I think you will have fun on your days off, even without a car. And I think if you truly put your mind to it, you can wait for Ally Pally. After all, you have a TON of supplies to get you through the lean times!

  4. Your 'Seriously' tag made me lol!! Don't know why, think it's the moustache... *grin* Actually, it's a refreshing change to see that steampunky vintage look in a different colourway from, and I quote Julia herself here, seven shades of wee-wee!! Have fun up in The Smoke! I'm desperate to go and see the jewellery galleries in the V & A, see some quality bling :) xx

  16. Oh Helen, what a downer to think you had more days off only to find you hadn’t.
I’m not going to Ally Pally this time. If I’m honest I was a bit disappointed earlier in the year. A lot of the stands I like to visit weren’t there and the whole place was heaving more than I’ve ever seen it before. It just wasn’t very pleasant trying to get around.

    Have a good week and…………
    Happy Crafting!

  22. Argh, what a sickener ... a whole week to go still. Sounds like the spending moratorium is in danger of being broken but tomorrow is September already so can't be too long before the Ally Pally thing. Like you tag - love the colour - and quite understand the vial thing ... it's like being asked to give away your baby, you just wouldn't/couldn't do it. Hope your week cheers up. Elizabeth x

  23. Oh but next week will seem even sweeter when it finally gets here. Lots to do without a car in your neck of the woods, especially with London so close. I agree with LLJ, head to the V&A, The National Portrait Gallery or the British Museum, great venues. Oh! You could try boating on the Serpentine, lol! I'm on a short lunch break and trying to get round a few peeps!

    Hugs

  38. Thanks for your visit this week - sorry it has take so long to get back to you. Just finished titivating the BluRays and DVD's ready to pass on. The best food on our trip, apart from all of it, was the fried baby squid and the wonderful langoustines. Hope you enjoy your days off next week.
