WOYWW 103 - one week to go

Well, hopefully we will  be here today becuase blogger is playing up again!! And I am having other problems with my computer too, I installed an upgrade to my AVG antivirus programme at the weekend (I only have the free version) and since then it has been soooooooo slow doing anything!!

However, you are here to see my desk - the patch on the floor I kneel at that you all know so well now, after very nearly 2 years of this fun way to spend a Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia.
My latest reading matter!! Although I should probably cut back on some of my American publications - they do rather take over the place!!

My PIF is all ready for next week, it's come round very quickly - so for now, be off with you, over to the stamping ground and check some interesting desks!!

  5. I have a huge pile of Somerset Studio mags but stopped buying them, earlier this year, I wasnt getting much from them (apart from looking at the pretty pictures LOL) I now get Cloth paper scissors, half the price and many more actual 'how to' articles

  6. I have millions of mags, I am addicted! Sometimes you can play, 'spot the same picture' in some of them! Or... my favourite, 'which picture is back to front or upside down!' Have a great week,

  8. I'm nit a Somerset reader - it's always been a bit too arty for me, but I love Take Ten and miss it. I unsubscribed from everything last year...money, of course.Hiss. Still have craft Stamper on order at the shop though, so don't miss out entirely! I wonder if you have two knee shaped dents in your carpet?

  9. Heavy reading there! I used to read Take Ten at night before bed and my DH says I can't read in bed anymore cause I make too many comments about what I am reading!! Thanks for sharing. Vickie #48

  10. I love reading, but seldom take a book to bed. If I read lying down I go to sleep. Thanks for sharing.

  11. I need a magazine reviewer ... you know to let me know which one to buy each month ... would you? Huh? Would you :0)

  12. I always read in bed... and in the bath and at the dining table, I can't even think about competing with your paperback collection tho, Helen! I find magazines hard to hold tho, I dont like hardbacks for the same reason.. just a quirk! I've not been here for a while, does this short post mean u've curbed your buying habit?!

  19. Your little patch on the floor is looking wonderful this week Helen and I know just what you mean about the American publications. I cancelled a couple of my subs recently partly because I’m running out of room and partly because the exchanges rate is so crap it makes them extremely expensive with the postage as well. I still love Take Ten though.

    Happy Crafting!

  22. Hi Helen, Somerset Studio seems to be a popular magazine, I've seen it featured a lot on the blogs I visit. They look great for inspiration but probably a tad too expensive to have shipped over here. Blogger is causing havoc again - I might or might not be able to post this comment. Elizabeth x #53

  24. I still have SS back to the premier issue and up thru the early 2000s and then the odd issue I manage to find then. I love it. If I could find it easily I would grab it every time, but now Borders is closed I never seem to see it in any shop I get to. Oh well....

    Enjoy

  25. I am not much of a magazine buyer these days. I found they were not on my wave length (or vice versa, maybe) so I just buy the odd one occasionally if there is something special in it. I do watch some of the crafting programmes on TV, but I am getting more selective with those too. I prefer to spend my money on stash, but I think I must put my credit card away for a while too. I did spend a lot of time yesterday setting up a wish list on Amazon, including all the Barbara Gray goodies I want for one thing. It is rather a long wish list already.

  26. Your magazines look so interesting I'm intrigued to know the contents. I used to use the free AVG and upgraded to the full version and my computer nearly came to a stop it was that slow. I had to uninstall it, I also found that there was little or no customer support. Hope you have better look with it.
