Wow!! what a great technique this one is! This week's Compendium challenge set by Linda at Studio L3 (and a fantastic prize donated by Tim and Mario themselves) is from page 41 - rusted enamel.
I don't think I've done this one before - but I love it!!
In the rules of the challenge I can't tell you how to do this, you'll need the book, but I used bundled sage and vintage photo DI's, and one of my new stamps from the weekend. I love the intense green from the bundled sage used direct to the tag - yummy or what, and so different from when it's applied with the blender tool!
I was out this evening with a couple of friends - we had to cancel before Christmas because of the bad weather, and because it was Claire's birthday on Friday we went today. I prepped the base tag before I left, and had to finish it before going to bed - now very late (well for me, given how stupidly early I get up!)
I will definately be using this technique again.
Night all!
Fabulous colours Helen, the technique looks great on your tag. Tracy Evans x
ReplyDeleteGreat tag, I haven't even looked it up yet but hope to in the next day or so.
ReplyDeleteThis is FABULOUS! Helen, your rusted enamel looks incredible-- like a piece of really fine jade! I want a WALL in my house done exactly like this-- wouldn't that be cool? I love the contrast of the sweet, simple rosette and the fabulous sentiment, too. Bravo, my dear!
